The Candy Dish: A Children's Book by New York Times Best-Selling Author Kobi Yamada

The book arrived in great condition, with beautiful illustrations. A wonderful story that we can refer to when our children becomes obsessed with what they don’t have and forget to appreciate what they do have.

I loved the illustrations and story. My 4 year old approved. Until we got to the last page where it ends with something along the lines of "she realized her days are just like the candy in the dish and she should appreciate each one like it's her last". This is true but wth... who says to any kid you better appreciate every day like it's your last!? I returned the book because of that one line. Otherwise it would have been a great book and a favorite.

I got this book yesterday and am SO happy I ordered it. The message of gratitude can be applied to any part of life (the little things and the big things). The illustrations are beautiful as well. Kobi Yamada has such a succinct and eloquent way with words. I highly recommend this book for any child over the age of 4 or 5... and it could even likely benefit adults. It would be a perfect complement to any character education program as well. LOVE IT!!

Kids and grandkids enjoy this book and another one by this author. I recommend it.

This book came highly recommended and it didn't disappoint. Loved the message and the illustrations are gorgeous. My 2nd grade class loved it.
