I ordered this pack of plastic spiders for a 100th day of school project. They came quickly and in plenty of time for me to put the project together. It has been a while since I purchased and this review, but I believe there were a few more spiders in the pack than was advertised. This worked out as I was hand sewing them to a sweatshirt and not all the spiders were usable for my project, but the overall effect was very fun!

Great price for so many pieces. Realistic looking and include a variety of sizes and even spider rings. I’m actually buying a second pack!

In anticipation of adding some spooky flair to my Halloween decorations, I decided to purchase a set of "realistic" plastic spiders. However, my experience with these spiders has been nothing short of underwhelming and, quite frankly, disappointing.From the moment I opened the package, it was clear that the term "realistic" was being used quite loosely. The plastic spiders lacked the detail and authenticity I was hoping for. The body shapes were simplistic and lacked the nuances that would make them resemble actual spiders. The colors were overly vibrant and artificial, which only added to their unrealistic appearance.Another major letdown was the quality of the material used. The plastic felt cheap and flimsy, and it was evident that these spiders wouldn't withstand much handling, let alone the rigors of being placed in various locations for decoration. The legs were particularly delicate and prone to bending out of shape, making the spiders lose any semblance of realism.But the disappointment didn't stop at appearance and quality. The spiders were meant to be poseable, allowing for creative placement in different scenarios. However, the joints that were meant to provide articulation were stiff and barely functional. Attempting to position the spiders resulted in frustration as the joints resisted movement, and in some cases, broke altogether.The supposed "realistic" size of the spiders was also far from accurate. They were much smaller than expected, making them barely noticeable in larger displays. When placed in more prominent locations, they looked more like cartoonish decorations than the spooky accents I had in mind.Furthermore, the spiders didn't evoke the intended reaction from viewers. Instead of being startled or creeped out, the unrealistic appearance and lackluster design garnered more confusion and amusement. The lack of authenticity in their appearance made them fall flat as decorative elements.In conclusion, the "realistic" plastic spiders were a regrettable purchase that failed to meet even the lowest expectations. The subpar appearance, poor quality, lack of functionality, and diminutive size all contributed to an overall disappointing experience. If you're looking for authentic and genuinely spooky decorations for Halloween or any other occasion, these plastic spiders are not the answer. I strongly advise seeking out higher-quality alternatives that will actually deliver the intended impact and add the desired atmosphere to your decorations.
