I am very happy with my PVR converter box and antenna. Here are the pros and cons.Pros:1. What a value. For basically the price of a good antenna, you get a very good antenna and a very useful little digital box.2. Setup is easy, both physical and channel setup.3. Full 1080P, more than is actually broadcast, but still, it is full 1080P as reported by my TV.4. The size is nice.5. I found the menus easy to navigate, and they become familiar quickly.6. One touch record or schedule from program guide and you can set frequency.7. Very responsive customer service, I left a voicemail and received a timely call back.Cons:1. The instructions were literally printed in a 3 1/2 by 5 booklet that you literally hold with a pinch and turn the pages like a cartoon giant. You WILL need a very good magnifying glass to read it.2.The only reason to lose 2 stars is related to other reviews, which talk about time offset. For whatever reason, on automatic clock, my unit is 3 hours off. I live in California. Customer service suggested leaving it in the auto position because I am able to record a program by using the skewed times, however, this is not acceptable and since it is mentioned by other people and my other TV with an antenna has the correct times in the program info, I deem it to be a shortcoming with this particular product. Manually entering the unit time screws it up, because the programs all are skewed three hours into the future.In any case, it is in a room by itself, I don't really care if I have to work around a screwy timer. I get nice recordings on a 64G flash drive, and I have tested all of the features described to my satisfaction. I finally recorded a program based on a scheduled time, I have done one touch recording and I have also played the recordings on my computer. They are AVCHD files, very easy to work with.So shop around, but I think this is a good deal and will happily review my rating if the clock issue is fixed or corrects itself.

I gave it a four because it has trouble pulling in the info for each station. I don't know it other tuners have that problem. I have a smart TV with its own tuner and I access it sometimes to check the info on the programs. Other than that I am very happy with it so far.The tuner actually pulls in more stations than the tuner in my Samsung smart TV does. Strange!!One of the reason for getting a tuner was so I could add a external drive so I could record a few programs we like to watch but are away from the TV when it airs. No way to add a drive to the TV itself so I opted for the tuner. It does not name the programs you record, only with the date. So and program you want to save you will need to rename it. So far no trouble with recording a show.The remote could stand some rearranging, the play and pause buttons could be better placed.Note: I was with one of the satellite companies but I pulled the plug. Too much money for the little that was on. So this a reason for getting the tuner

We just recently cut our cable service and decided to only keep our internet. I get all my shows online, but my mom missed her local news and one channel in particular. I signed up for a trial with Sling TV but found it too expensive for just one channel. I then remembered we get a decent selection of local channels using an antenna, so I decided to see what was available here on Amazon. I found this bundle and thought it seemed like a good deal. Boy was it ever. I actually have the antenna that came with this bundle set up on a newer TV with a built-in digital tuner, and it works great. I get about 20 channels all in HD. I set up the converter box in our spare bedroom with our old school TV using an old bunny ear antenna. I get all the same channels using the bunny ear antenna that I get using the antenna that came with this bundle and my mom can now record her news at night. If you get a decent lineup of local channels or only watch one or two channels, this alternative beats having cable any day. Would definitely recommend to anyone trying to cut down on expenses!

Pretty happy with this purchase. I can pick up TV signals from New Orleans with great clarity. I am located on the north shore of Lake Pontchartrain New Orleans is on the south shore. The lake is twenty-four miles wide. Considering I live approximately 5 miles from the lake and the broadcast antennas are five miles inland on the otherside of the lake there is roughly a 35 mile distance for the signal to travel. The product comes with few instructions, however installation is pretty straight forward. Definitely fulfilled my need.

Would be 5 star but you really got to be a good shot with that remote to make it work.. needs to be pointed directly at the box.Otherwise, thing works great!!!Picks up in HD, few channel I have in this small town in the middle of nowhere.USB record and the movies on my USB work great... little confusing to use but once you figure it out you wonder what was so hard.. lolOn a new 65" Vizio without TV tuner.

I really like this channel converter. I love all the clear local channels I get now. I pray it will last a long time. I really like the channel guide that comes with the converter box. I do not have cable, so I would have to “channel surf” to see what is on. I am thinkng of buying one for my other TV as well. I want to wait to be sure that it will continue to work before I do that. The customer service rep actually called me back! I called on Sunday when View TV was closed. I did not leave a message or number. That did not stop him from returning my call. We got my hook up fixed quickly and I was watching a beautiful picture.

Update 11/2017 Unit died, capacitors inside are blown5/2017I bought this kit because i wanted to record some shows, and the PVR works fine; however the converter box is much better at picking stations than the Samsung TV I have; so it solved the poor reception problemsI tested the antenna by itself and the box on more than 1 TV to make sure it was not a fluke... and it worked in each of the rooms that I triedI will order at least one more of this
