Used this to power up my dashcam. Never failed.

First off - The bullet point description (prior to 9 sep, 2019) indicated that this power cord has a Mini USB Type A connector. Actually, it has a Mini USB Type B connector. See Wikipedia "USB Hardware" for differences (can't include link here).I purchased this cable (EDO Tech 5v 2a Mini USB Charger Vehicle Adapter Power Cord): https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00Y9689BI/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1 as a replacement to the power cord that came with my Black Box G1W-CB Black Bezel Capacitor Model Dash Camera: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00P8F3LD0/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_search_asin_title?ie=UTF8&psc=1 (only difference between G1W-C and G1W-CB is a trim option). This new power cord works perfectly with my G1W-C dash cam. It's actually a better build (sturdier) than the original power cord, which failed when the spring in the tip connector failed. Note that the power cord is only useful for supplying power. It doesn't control any functions of the camera. This replacement power cord is spec'd as having an output of DC 5V and appx 2A. The original power cord was spec'd for 5v and appx 1.5A. I haven't noticed any issues with the power. The camera and cord are functioning perfectly.

The 5' 8" charging cable that came with my device wasn't sufficient. This was the perfect length to run and hide with a little left over to loop and tie wrap. But the usb end is straight, crap! Don't like wires showing too much, so the small right angle usb adapter from Motorola fit my needs.Good quality and a not too bright green charging indicator. I'll recommend this product, but should have came with my expensive device in the first place which you'll see in my other reviews.

I have an old shark brand dash camera and the cord that I had that came with it finally gave out and rather than buying a whole nother new camera that I didn't need just to get the cord I search to see if I can find a backup cord and this cord did its job. Even though I had blew a fuse for my cigarette lighter Port I change the fuse because I knew I just got this cord and the fact that the light did not light up I knew it was not the cord it was the fuse so basically this cord is great quality great price and I would definitely recommend this cord if you need a backup cord for your dash camera instead of buying the whole product all over again when you don't need the extra camera.

I've used this car charger for my A118C dash cam since 3/2019, and it still works perfectly. It turns on my dash cam when I start my car and turns it off when I shut my engine.
