Maybe my experience is just different, but I'm happy with this purchase. It arrived undamaged with everything included that was supposed to be. Installation is pretty simple, but turn the power off first. I think it looks good, but there are a couple of confusing things in the Amazon product description. The description says "100 Watt A19", but the product details say that it's actually rated for 75 watts. "A19" refers to the standard pear shape bulb that most of us are familiar with, but I think you can use any bulb with an E26 type base, including "Edison" bulbs. The product details also say "Bulb Type Incandescent", but I'm using a dusk to dawn LED bulb. The product details also include a confusing reference to "Corded Electric" power source. If you couldn't figure it out yourself, this doesn't come with a cord, it's just a standard wired light fixture. Other than this nit-picking of details, I'm very happy with this product.

I was fortunate to find this discounted on Amazon via the used section. It was a great replacement for my ugly, broken fixture. Easy to install and great value.

Not nearly as big as the price lets on. cheap and with a normal lightbulb in it, THAT"S ALL YOU SEE when you're looking in that direction. The glass doesn't obscure the fact that there's a bulb in there.Would not buy again..recommend you get the ones with the three smaller looking bulbs (the little sockets) because that has a twinkle and high-end look to it. I'll be tossing this one in the trash once i get around to finding a better one.easy to install, gets the job done.. but man o man...

Overall construction of the light is good. UL labeled on the canopy piece. Like most canopy lights it is medium hard to install. The instructions only have directions to install a wall mount and post mount, but not a hanging lantern. Also no spare parts like the acorn nuts that secure the fixture to the house electrical box. But this was not my first rodeo. You need either another person or use small rope or parachute cord to hold the fixture when connecting fixture wiring to house power. Also do yourself a favor and buy some spare *acorn nuts and have someone else hold the fixture when you secure the fixture to the two screws that must stick thru the canopy. I lost (you are working overhead while simultaneously holding the fixture) only 1 acorn nut when installing mine. I believe that Home depot carries them: "3/8 in. Assorted Finish Lamp Cap Nuts (6-Pack) in Matte Black, Oil Rubbed Bronze and Chrome [**all metal]." *And/or, if you are replacing an old fixture, retain the acorn nuts. **Also, I do not like those supplied. They are small metal nuts covered with plastic. Think about stress on them holding not only the weight of the fixture but the added load when the fixture is blown by the wind.

I bought this to replace the cheap fixture the builder used on my front porch. It's okay. I didn't want to invest in a heavier bigger fixture until I was sure I really wanted a hanging fixture. You get what you pay for. The first one I got was broken. I had to return it and have them send me another. It came but didn't have all the pieces needed to install it. (Luckily my Dad is an electrician and was installing it for me. He had what he needed and got it hung.) It looks okay hanging there but if you're really wanting something to stand out you should save up and buy a better fixture.I think it's sort of flimsy so I gave it an "okay" rating.

These are great hanging lights. Easy to install and well made. I'm going for a particular theme in my 110+ year old house so these were installed in the kitchen. Once installed, I was eager for night to arrive so I could see how they looked. Very pleased with the amount of light they provide. I'm using warm white LED bulbs in them. I will be buying more of these when I re-do other rooms in the house.

These are very cheap lamps. Very thin glass. Very Very thin metal. I purchased 9 of them to install on my driveway posts. One was broken when it arrived. 1 broke during installation. 1 I found broke 1 week after install. So out of 9, 3 were useless in the first week of use. I realize these weren't high dollar units, but I would expect them to last more than a week of use. I am returning them all.Amazon has been great because I made the decision to return them within the 30 day window. Now looking for other options.

Just what we wanted. Our old lights glowed upward, these glow downward and the difference is amazing. We bought the flame bulbs, also from Amazon, and they look like old fashioned gaslights. LOVE THEM!

Design looks amazing. Relatively solid feeling too. Was quite happy until after a while we started wondering if they were white or off-white. After less than a year now, I can say for sure that it has faded to a nowhere-near-as-nice off-white colour, and we'll have to replace them with something else which is just a waste. Probably don't buy this if you're looking at the white colour at least.

The light fixture feels thin to the touch but they look fine. Installed the first one with no issues but the second fixture could not be installed with machine screws supplied as the body that fits over the post did not have the screw holes threaded. So, I installed the fixture by applying white sealant on the outer surface of the lamp post to secure it in place.

Second one that cracked off the base when hit by snowblower snow. The attachment is very thin and the unit cracked off easily with minimal pressure. I’ve replaced it with a third that’s round, which will hopefully better deflect the snow.

The lamp certainly adds a nice touch to my refurbished lamp post. Installation was simple and the quality and finish is very good. Unbelievable fast delivery as well. Thank you Amazon!
