Great value, better than bottled distilled water
I wish I would have purchased this distiller earlier. I wasted so much money and time running to the grocery store to buy bottled distilled water. It's very easy to use and clean. It has a timer and turns itself off when it's finished, so I use mine around the clock. The taste was slightly different than the distilled water I bought in the bottles a friend suggested I collect about the amount of a shot glass of water, and then use the pitcher. I water some plants I have growing on my window sill with that, and I've noticed the taste is so much better. I'm not sure why that little truck helped so much, but I'm very glad it did. I also purchased some coconut she'll granular activated charcoal and make my own filters using regular paper coffee filters. It works great and the container of charcoal I purchased Will last me for years. Great buy!!!

Very pleased.
I’ve been using this distiller for about a month, making 7-10 gallons each week. The machine is easy to use and clean and I have been astonished at the amount of minerals that are left behind with each use. I find it easiest to clean by wiping out the residue with a paper towel and then adding some white vinegar and wiping it out again after every one or two uses. I use the water for drinking, cooking, making coffee, for pets, and in my humidifier. I love not having to clean mineral deposits out of the nooks of my humidifier. The machine is durable and the sound is a nice white noise in the house. At the rate I use it, it will take a year to pay for itself over buying gallon jugs of distilled water, but it is so much easier to make the water on demand instead of lugging home jugs and disposing of all that plastic.

Distiller Works Great and I feel clean!
I began purchasing distilled water by the gallon not too long ago. Soon afterwards I realized that I was investing my money into another company who would have to clean the water for me, + spending money on transportation and the cost of plastic pollution by having to create and manufacture all those plastic water jugs.I looked at many other distiller but this one stood out for me. I was going to get the model with the glass carafe, but since my water won't be sitting long inside the plastic jugs anyway it would not be a health concern at all. (24hrs at most)I like to use my distiller during off peak hours. In my area the increased electricity rates are during 5-9am and 4:30 to 8pm I believe. So I will usually set the distiller to run and finish outside of those timesI suggest that you purchase a re-suable water jug that can be left on the counter top or inside the refrigerator so that you will always have a backup of water to use while you make some more distilled water with the machine. For the first two weeks you will run out of water fairly quickly as you hurriedly gulp up the fresh tasting distilled water from the machine. My beginning with this machine cracks me up! Anyhow I know you will love this machine and it will provide you with really great tasting and healthy water. If your already reading this review, it is more than likely that you are on the path to better health through love and education. Remember to pass on the helpful knowledge to other people who are lost in the dark night of life. This way we can all rise together :)Peace, Blessing's & Love

Works great, except….
Got this in June 2024 and have been making a gallon of distilled water every day since then. I love the clean taste of the water. Everything was fine till the other day when I noticed a crack in the bottom of the pitcher that came with it. From the beginning I was aware of how thin the glass pitcher was, so I’ve been very careful when I set it down on the counter or in the refrigerator. I really am not aware of when it cracked; had to improvise with some other stainless steel pots to catch the water. If the pitcher was heavier, stronger glass I’d give it 5 stars, but since it cracked so easily I give it only 4 stars.

Sprang a leak. Look elsewhere
Updated 12/16: its been a few years and a few gallons of water. over time, the interior started getting knicked up. Then there were brown spots that built up that I worried looked a lot like rust. Then it finally started leaking. Badly. I don't think I ever got my money back on this unit, so I changed it from a great when it worked, to a not so great now that its pretty much a leaky and dangerous machine.I Kill-A-Watt'd this in AZ, and it came out to .17 cents a run from soup to nuts. the citric acid cleaner works really well, and lasted me about 4 plus months. Even considering a purchase of more citric acid, the water costs, etc, it beats pretty much everything, so long as you plan to make hundreds of gallons.I bought it simply for the convenience. I never have to lug cases of water around, and in a pinch I can make a half gallon or less quickly. A full gallon takes 5 hours or so, a half gallon can work itself out in 2 or so.Aside from drinking it, I use this to fill up my cambro for my sous vide (thereby avoiding having to clean deposits that build on my immersion circulator.Super useful, well worth it.

Works extremely well
Its a little cumbersome when you have a gallon of water in a water flask so I carry with two hands.I have been filling 20 water jugs every several months for the last two years and it it takes about 5 to 6 hours to distill a gallon of water. Certainly works for my needs and provides me with distilled water, mostly used for apnea machine so it does not clog up.
