This was the exact model I was looking for and works seamlessly with my TLC TV upon inserting batteries that were provided by the company. I got it same day shipping and it came in a simple plastic bag to protect it from dust and stuff. It was clean when arrived and easy to mantain.I bought this remote as a backup in case the one that the TV shipped with died suddenly. It hasn't but I still use this regularly. You can use both at the same time and it works perfect. I can pick up the orginal and switch TV inputs, and then a second later pick up this replacement remote and change the volume, no confliction. I keep one at my desk and one at my bed so I always have aremote within arms reach. Perfect so convience.I would buy this again and at this price there no way it's not worth picking up.

Works perfectly with our TCL Roku smart TV. Some people who have given it bad reviews bought it for their Roku stick. That requires a different remote because it's behind the TV, it needs a radio signal. This remote is infrared and is designed to work with the TCL brand of TVs with Roku built in. Read product descriptions before buying. Admit when you've made a mistake in your purchase rather than give a poor review. It's like a person wanting a title of a video game, and buys it, but it's for original Xbox and he has Xbox One. He tries to play it, then gets mad the disc won't play in his Xbox One. That's the same as these one and two star reviewers.

I have the Logitech super smart Harmony 650 remote but I don't use it now that I have my TCL TV. It came with one of these remotes. This remote was a replacement for the one my toddler managed to break by getting something sticky in the volume button.The only downside to the remote is the dedicated Netflix, Amazon, HBO and Sling buttons. I see that newer versions are just color coded. We don't have Sling or HBO so those buttons are useless and I wish I could change them to Vudu, Showtime or something I do use.The remote fits in your hand nicely, isn't too cluttered so you can work the excellent Roku interface without having to look at the remote. I'd definitely buy this TV and remote again.

Great replacement for our lost remote. No coding or pairing needed it worked straight from the box. All the buttons work and in the same layout as the original. My only criticism is that it seems a little less responsive than the original and has to be pointing perfectly towards the tv or it won't work. I can operate the TV from my dining table which is about 20 feet away.

Perfectly replaces the TCL TV remote that shipped with the TV, eaten by my Doberman who knows better. The price is right. The shortcut buttons on this one make much more sense than the original. Who watches "Starz"? No one, that's who.Please note, this is not a Roku remote. Don't buy this for a standalone Roku device. it won't work. It's only for TCL brand televisions with Roku built in.

After my 80 pound mastiff mix decided to chew up the one that came with the TV and I got tired of only using the phone app I bought this one. It’s BETTER than the original because I like the shortcuts to HBONOW and Prime much more than HULU and Sling. And it seems to work better than the original. Also zero set up. Put the batteries in and go. Very happy with this purchase.

My dog chomped the original ROKU tv remote I received when I purchased my 40" model from Costco. Initially I wasn't sure if this remote would work for my tv but after reading many reviewers comments that stated the remote worked out of the box - well heck - why not try. Everyone was right (thank you to all who posted the 'out of box and works immediately reviews)!Not sure if the dog thinks this remote is as good as the original - hopefully our dog sitter will not provide her with the opportunity to taste test it!

It's works like original. For what a simple remote it is... it's expensive.
