Auton DVD. Surprisingly good.
Great spinoff. Auton is a surprisingly well made unofficial spinoff from BBV. Michael Wade steals the show with a really strong charismatic performance. At just under an hour, it's probably an ideal length for a low budget production. But I can't find much to fault. It's well writen, acted and really well directed for the most part. Worth a look if you're a fan of Doctor Who the classic series, or the Autons as seen in the Jon Pertwee classics 'Spearhead from Space' and 'Terror of the Autons'.

Spirit
The first in a brilliant trilogy for one of The Doctor's greatest enemies, the Autons, this is well made, presented and acted, during the wilderness years this was what kept the Doctor Who spirit alive, and even now with the series back, it still has a nostalgic feeling of spirit!

Disappointment
This is an extremely slow moving program with wooden acting. Highly disappointing.

A solo outing for one of Doctor Who's best remembered monsters
A solo outing for one of Doctor Who's best remembered monsters, and they actually work a lot better here than they have in their more recent TV appearances. A nicely atmospheric sci-fi thriller.
