Super easy!
We had a very dated, HUGE stone fireplace in a renovation that we were doing. The fireplace actually took up two giant walls between the kitchen and dining room. After doing a lot of research about whitewashing either with the paint wash or this product, I chose this to allow the stone to continue to breathe and to avoid any mold issues associated with paint. This was extremely easy to use and clean up was absolutely a breeze! One thing to note, is that one of the benefits to using this product is that you have a lot of options as far as how heavily you want to apply the color - and then you have an infinite amount of time to remove excess using just water. I feel like that’s a bit of a double edge sword because it makes cleaning a little bit difficult. Wiping down this product removes some color/product so you must be sure to DRY wipe and not use a damp rag to clean. All in all the transformation was pretty amazing for a great price and minimal effort! I literally did this in two days, and under two hours each day. That includes prep AND clean up!

Good product with a few things to know
Used this slurry on a brick fireplace and the results were nice. Couple of tips:1. Make sure you order enough. I used the slurry on a standard size fireplace and ran out of product after 95% completion for first coat. Ended up having to order another 2.5 liters to finish the 1st coat and add a second coat. Generally you will need to do 2 coats.2. This slurry leaves a chalky finish which you won't like, We ended up buying the Romabio Mineral Spirits to coat the slurry and remove the chalky bits. It's another $45 so be prepared for extra time and cost.3. Application is messy. Cover any furniture and floors nearby. It does wipe off walls and floors easily.4. Get a good masonry Brush (you don't need the Romabio one)I used https://www.amazon.com/dp/B002YC25NM?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_detailsAlso have a smaller brush to get into masonry lines.5. If I were doing this again, I would have filled in the masonry lines and then used the slurry. Depends on the look you are going for and filling in masonry is very time consuming.6. I did the Avario white color but it's more off white / slight cream color. I'd choose a brighter white next time which is my error as I didn't know there were different white variations. The Richmond White maybe a brighter white.6. I purchased my first bucket here on Amazon and paid $15 for shipping but then found Lowes was selling the same product online with free shipping. Shop around and save some $'sI'm happy with the outcome and the fireplace looks much better than it did before.Happy slurrying.

Order double - coverage is per coat
Ordered one 15 ltr (5 gallon) bucket to test out before I attempt my entire house.FYI, the 15ltr bucket has enough space to allow addition of the recommended 300-750ml of water so you don't have to scoop it out into a separate bucket as I have seen many do on YouTube. I actually added more like 1100ml of extra water and there was plenty of room to mix with my paddle bit without it splashing out. 1100ml, let alone 300-750ml of water really is not that much. Keep in mind this is the Lime SLURRY, not the Lime Wash and is only intended to be applied by a masonry brush, not by roller or sprayer.Actual application was with a masonry brush as recommended using a regular paint brush to get in corners and stuff. USE GLOVES - this stuff is pretty coarse and did wear a few spots in my fingers as I originally applied without gloves and it stings like crazy. The bucket is supposed to cover 540-600 sf. And the bucket recommends 2 coats. What it doesn't make clear (which I confirmed by calling Romabio) is that the 540-600 sf is for ONE coat. So to cover 540-600 sf with 2 coats as recommended, you will need TWO buckets.I called Romabio because I had finished a ~250 sf wall and only had about 2-3 inches of paint left in my bucket and they confirmed the above. Now I only put one coat on my wall as well but I guess I was able to put it on pretty thick (even with "more" water than recommended), because it looks pretty consistent and doesn't look like it needs a second coat, even after 2 days of drying.I do like how it looks and am happy with the application, I am just disappointed it will take basically double my original estimate if I choose to do the entire house.Just thought this info might help someone else out.
