where u guys put it after use?

I have a shelf with odds and ends where I don’t use too often, but I keep it in its original box to protect the teeth. I plan on building a board with rare earth magnets inset in the wood to make it more visible, but it’s not built yet.

Good for general flush cutting? Does it matter which side you use if your are cutting dowels? thx

Both edges are the same. It works fine for flush cutting. Great tool!

I am new to this Japanese saw, why this saw has a two-sided design?

One side has very fine teeth for more delicate cuts while the other side has fewer teeth for course cuts. I test a piece of scrap of the same wood I intend to cut to see which set of teeth work best. It seems that the smaller amount of stock to remove, the fine tooth side works best since it prevents splitting or splintering the the edge of the stock. For removing more stock on an edge, you can start with the course side to remove a larger piece of stock, then fine tune you final cut with the fine tooth side. Please Remember: this saw is a “finishing tool” and not a hack saw or a coping saw. It was primarily intended to trim off protruding dowel pins to make them flush with the surface. The blade is very thin so that you can press it flat against the wood surface to achieve flush cuts. If that is what you need, this is a really good tool. But isn’t a general purpose saw for making any old cut.

Is it fast enough for cutting kinds of hard wood?

It's very fast. Cuts hard maple and black walnut.

flexible with just the right amount of rigidity

This is a well made saw. I have another Japanese pull saw from another vender that is not as well made. The blade is flexible enough with just the right amount of rigidity to not brake. I was pleasantly pleased with its sharpness. it makes easy cuts in both hard and soft wood with not a lot of effort. and unlike the other pull saw that i have it cuts a straight line without needing support. It is just the right size for use in wood turning and other non lathe related wood projects.

Great solid product for a great price

Looked at reviews and watched videos before selecting this product and I have not been disappointed. I just started with woodworking and been buying tools I needed and this has been the one I've been in anticipation of and it's been great. The Right saw for certain tasks

Very sharp saw with 2 sides for hard and soft woods. Great for removing tenons on wood turnings. I sometimes wish it was a little longer but this size is workable for most of my tasks and makes a clean cut.

Before buying it I had my doubts, but after using it I have to say I loved it. The cut finish is great, the tool cuts very well, and if you use it without rushing, it doesn’t leave marks on the wood surface. It’s also very easy to use.I have been using this for over a month and the blade hasn’t lost its shape. It remains straight.

Great precise saw

This little pull saw is great quality and can perform so many precise cuts. It is designed for single handed use, it feels comfortable in just one hand. The design of this type of saw is to allow you to get flush cuts. It is a great design. This is one of my smaller pull saws, which is nice because it is easy to travel with.
