The Honor Killing Of David L. Branton A Novel

Things that make you go hmmm
I read this book with a skeptical eye. As a former resident of Allentown and former "club brat", I am very familiar with the importance of the appearance of being a "perfect family". I was very skeptical of Jon's story from the start, now I am not so sure. I was always curious why there was so little information about the search for David. This book leaves you wanting more. A tragic story with no closure.

Terrible
I got this since I'm from the area and had never heard of this story. It's on 82 pages, how is that a novel as it says in the title? And it's normal font and not all the pages are even full. It also makes no sense to me. This is more about the authors life and growing up in a dysfunctional family than it is about his brothers death. Somewhere in the last half it goes into a detailed story of how his brother was killed, but then ends with they have no proof of anything. So the main point of the book is not even the main theme, and it seems to all be either his personal opinion of what happened or just a complete conjecture. The books ends back with nobody knows anything, and no explanation of why he wrote the detailed story of the actual murder.

Honor Killing
I was not overly impressed with this book. All the hype that it had I expected it to be a real thriller. The book came and was so thin for the price. You could read it within an hour. It didn’t really keep my interest at all.

A good read.
Because the book centered on my local area, was my main reason for purchasing it. The book is about a family with a problem. It's a good story, a somewhat sad story with a logical ending.

It’s not what you think
It was a good book but very surprising of what it was about.

Great and well written book.
This book was written as a memory for David. But it also shows how devious a family can be when a member isn't what they should. I am not sure how much the family will ever know the actual truth. I just hope that everyone can live with themselves for what happened. Excellent book and so easy to read.

Strange and poorly written
Very poorly written. Feels like the author just wanted to let the world know his dad was a pedophile and probably had his brother killed. With no proof provided beyond a hunch, it's hard to take much away from this book. He also refers to his father as daddy throughout the book which is unsettling. I have more questions than answer after reading. Quick easy read though.

Interesting Read
This book was well worth the read. Did this happen or not? It kept me guessing and trying to connect the dots. Highly recommend.
