ARIATWomen's Ideal 3.0 Down Vest

This vest is absolutely beautiful and I've gotten lots of compliments on it from my horsey friends out on the trails and and at the stables. It might be on the bigger side, but I like my clothes with a bit of extra room in them, anyway. It fits perfect over my sweatshirts. I bought a size medium, and for reference, I'm 125lbs and 5ft4". Shopping online, you take that risk of not being exactly sure of if it's going to be too big or too small, but in this case, I suspect that while the small would have also fit great-- it might have been a bit too snug to go over my sweaters in the Fall and winter months.... or maybe not, hard to say. I'm pretty happy with the Medium size and it's perfect for my level of comfort. This vest did come shipped flattened without any air in it - so I threw it in the dryer to fluff it up the first time. Since then I have worn this nearly every day outside at the barn and riding my horses and it's taken a lot of abuse and held up beautifully! I have lost count how many times I've washed it now (think horse sneezes and snot and usual barn dirt). Every time it comes out of the dryer, it's all puffed up and ready to go again. Love, love, love this vest!

I ordered two of these, one for my daughter and one for myself. We love it! Very comfortable, yet keeps us warm in the PA winter with sufficient layers underneath. My only complaint would be that it does run a bit small. I feel like there could be more room around the middle. We are average size, and had to each go a size larger for comfortable fit around our torsos, which makes the vest a little too long. Beyond that small criticism, there's nothing else not to love.

This vest is good looking on a body. My wife wears size S and this vest fits her. It's little big for my 12 year old daughter. Pockets are almost invisible outside, also has 2 inside pockets (see their sizes in the photo). For me, the big affraid is that down and feathers will comes outside through the seams. This problem was with wifes Eddie Bauer MicroTherm 2.0 StormDown Jacket and my Roper Ripstop Crushable Parachute Vest. You looked like you spent the night on a chicken farm. But here I find only one feather and I hope it won't be a problem. I added all measurements of Size S, perhaps this will help you make the right choice.

This is my second Ariat women's vest and they have changed the cut a little bit. It is now a bit longer, covering my backside better than my older one (this is a good thing). The other thing I noticed is that it is a tiny bit large (boxier cut), whereas my 2 year old vest was more form fitting. Still great quality, keeps me warm, just be aware you may need to size down from a previously purchased similar vest.

Fits great, lightweight yet VERY warm. I was skeptical at first since it is so thin, but it keeps me very warm riding in the north east winters.

Looks great, washed it already several times and everything is fine. I use it for horse riding. Constantly receive compliments

I love the look of the vest, very cute. However, it's paper thin. Others say it keeps them warm, but its very, very, thin so I don't know how. Also, it runs a little small, I'm a 34DDD and could zipper it over a t-shirt, but never anything thicker. I can't pull it all the way down either as it's too tight around the bottom opening.

This is a very nice vest, just exactly what I wanted--easy for travel, fits TTS nicely (and I'm slightly pear-shaped). The color I purchased looked like an electric blue but it's more like a shimmery off-navy. Love it!
