Jobar International JIB2102 Shutter & Blind Vacuum Attachment

I did not get this to clean shutters or standard blinds. I did get it for general, light dusting and it works like a charm! I can brush over knick-knacks, book spines, flat surfaces, speaker covers, picture frames, etc. and it picks up a good deal of the dust without moving things around or scratching. Every now and then as I go, I pop it off the hose and suck the dust off the brush to give me a clean brush to work with. It doesn't replace a thorough house cleaning, but it definitely helps keep the dust under control between dustings. I haven't tried it on the fabric cell blinds yet, but I expect good results.This is my new feather duster. If Jobar comes up with other vacuum cleaner attachment tools designed for household dusting, I'll be first in line. While this tool is perfect for larger surfaces (books, open flat surfaces, etc.) this same tool half as wide would make it easier to get in around the bottoms of vases and candles. A wand type tool with shorter soft bristles radiating out from one side would make cleaning nooks and crannies of knick-knacks a lot easier (a job I currently do by washing the object or spraying it with canned air).

Although description says shutter and blind attachment, it won't work for shutters at all. My shutters are small and thin but they are still to big for this attachment.

Overall very pleased. It's easy to use and removes a lot of the dust. It does not clean the blinds like wiping them by hand. But it does remove 90% or more of the dust with 90% less work.

My main problem is that the bristles are so soft, they get sucked up into my vacuum after a few blinds are done. I have a pretty powerful backpack vacuum, and it barely gets the dust at the back of the slat because the bristles are too soft to sir up dust. They get sucked backward into my hose, and all out of whack. I have to reduce vac pressure and pull them back out. I almost need a comb just to keep the bristles where they are supposed to be. maybe this item was just meant for weaker consumer vacs, but then I couldnt see them being strong enough to get the dust I could not even get.I have read on a lot of pro cleaning forums to use a wide paintbrush to dust blinds, and I was hoping I could combine that technique and still be able to suck the dust up with this item. Close but not ideal.If you close the blinds mostly, and use the attachment that way. being careful to get slightly under the overlapping blind, it works pretty good, but this is a slower process, and the whole point was to clean mor ethan one blind at a time.That said, Ill probably use this until I find something better.

Hello, I just purchased one of these expressly for my 3' wood blinds. I am happy to report it works amazing! I have an 8 foot wide bay window with 2 side windows and my blinds are on this window. with my newly installed central vac,( that I purchased on Amazon) I cleaned the dust from these in record time. I adjusted them at 90 degrees and went right along as if it was a paint brush. It also worked fabulous on lamps, nick knacks and picture frames. I also have wooden louvered doors on all my closets. 5 in all with the bedroom ones having 2 doors. I did those in 15 minutes. Worked great on light fixtures as well. This also fit my central vac without the enclosed adapter. I will order a few more as I'm going to be giving it ALOT of use. Never buying another Swiffer duster again.

the brushes are not stiff enoff and it cleans most of the dust but not all,it smears some of the dust,the dust brush that came with my vacume works better,it did come with an adapter that fits my shark vacume.

What an ingenious little tool! Blinds can be tedious at best to clean,. This tool easily attaches to my vacuum. It loosens any dusts and the vacuum sucks it away. Then I discovered that it works quite well for fine dusting of what-not's and delicate items. Just turn the suction down on the vacuum and gently brush porcelain figurines, electronics, etc.

The package states this attachment comes with universal adapters that fit "all major brands of vacuums" with a list of brands that includes Kenmore. Neither the attachment (too big) or the included adapters (too small) fit my late-model Kenmore. Disgusted. I held the loose attachment on the end of my vacuum just to see if it would work well on my blinds if it did fit, and I believe it would not clean well. Save your money. Use a pair of damp cotton gloves, which is the best suggestion I have read online.
