Fits Perfectly
Sadly I had broken the clip that held the disposal container in place when I accidentally dropped it. I had contacted Dyson for a replacement sadly in my case I was only given an option to buy/replace the entire disposal container so I decided to do a bit of scouting found this on Amazon and gave it a shot.... Fits perfect and at a fraction of the cost of a container replacement.

Just what I neded
This is the part that had broken in my Dyson, and all options to replace this included the entire "Dirt canister unit, which was much more expensive. I found this part on Amazon, and. this was the only part I needed and was at a much cheaper price than the entire canister unit, which I replaced and is doing the job.

This After Market Part Fits my Dyson DC65 Animal Vacuum like Original
The "First4spares Vacuum Cleaner Cyclone Assembly Red Canister Button Release Catch Clip" that I received is as thick as the original. It is the same color and size as the original. (see photos) It holds the canister to the shaft of the vacuum cleaner as the original in all positions. It functions like the original. **My original button cracked on both sides (see comparison photos) and would not hold the canister to the shaft correctly any longer. I looked at several sites before purchasing this item, including Sears. I also went to a local vacuum sales/service store, who recommended to purchase the entire top assembly from Dyson at greater expense! Bottom Line: I would buy this item again from this seller. - - - **Side note: The lower lid of my canister sticks regardless of new or old button. But, this is not due to the functionality of either button, but rather is a design flaw on Dyson's part for it's flimsy red plastic side bar mechanism. Also to note: Try to refrain from holding, pushing or carrying the Dyson vacuum cleaner by the clear plastic canister handle. This resulted in the breakage over time of my original red canister release button.
