Science Research Writing For Non-native Speakers Of English

Very helpful for my PhD dissertation

Excellent topic and very easy to understand. However, has some notes in a lot of pages, and some page’s folded.

Ein einfach fantastisches Buch zum Thema: "Papers und Articles auf Englisch schreiben"Ein richtiger Step by Step - Guide, wenn man sich erstmal etwas mit dem Buch vertraut gemacht hat kann man es sofort einsetzen, keine lange Einlese-Dauer notwendig höchstens 1-2 Stunden. Einfach "lock and load" (ready-to-use) und los geht's!Jeder Nicht-Englisch-Muttersprachler kann von diesem Buch profitieren, keine hohes Englisch-Niveau als Input-Vorraussetzung, sehr wohl aber ein hohes Englisch-Niveau als Output auf dem Papier.Erfolgreich das erste Paper schreiben, aber nach Möglichkeit nur in wenige Bücher investieren?Dann bei diesem Buch zugreifen und nicht enttäuscht sein!Einfach klasse !!!!Absolute Kauf-Empfehlung ( auch für "Last-Minute - Catch the Flight" - Leute ! )PS: Wer hier zugreift wird es wohl kaum bereuen, zumindest wenn er wenigstens über Englischkenntnisse auf Realschul-Niveau verfügt, aber wenn er diese nicht hätte würder er wohl kaum an einem englischen Scientific Article sitzen... jedenfalls in der Regel....!

In general, this book provides a comprehensive guide to understand any scientific papers.The implicit meaning behind the grammar and vocabularies of choice are explained beautifully in this book,opening a new perspective and allowing myself (as a student) to get more information besides the facts presented within the methods, results, and discussion of a scientific paper.In my humble opinion, the results and discussion sections in this book should be read with great caution to avoid confusion because the explanation and the provided writing models use a style in which the results section and the discussions section are combined together rather than distinctly separate the results section and the discussion section from each other.

This is an excellent book for scientific writing. This books is meant for writing a paper and it drives home the point from page one. The exercises in the book are immensely helpful and so are the models for different sections of a paper. Writing a paper used to be a nightmare for me. This book has certainly helped me alleviate the fear.I have used few other writing manuals, such as Strunk and White, before. While they are excellent at pointing out what to do, they fail to motivate the reasons behind the commandment. This is also where this book excels. In every chapter, the author analyzes test cases and explains the reasons behind using a particular tense or a particular voice. As an ESL student, these clarifications are extremely helpful and enlightening to me.In conclusion, I definitely recommend buying this book.
