Good value gimbal
From reading the previous reviews I can see that most people are not aware of exactly what they are buying... A gimbal differs from the standard tripod head in that the majority of the time the photographer has the knobs loose, so that it can be used to pan or tilt more steadily than by hand alone. They often feel more unsteady due the design, being offset from the central head pivot axis. Even the most expensive does it to a greater or lesser degree. Shooting something moving, or shooting from something moving a gimbal comes into its own. Having said that, shot remotely with a remote shutter release will reduce or remove shake anyway. For the money it is a great piece of kit to have in your armoury, especially for wildlife. An suction adapter can see it fit to a car door or other flat surface for secure operation of a rig.Mounted via a lens collar the camera can easily be moved into portrait orientation, too.Decide If you need a buy a tripod pan/tilt head, or if you need a gimbal. Don't make the wrong choice then blain the device.

Calibration at the bottom
The calibration scale ring at the bottom off the tripod head doesn’t show any marks for setting the calibration scale

Unusable
The media could not be loaded. Not great purchase.I use it once. Unbelievable wobbly from new. You can somehow use it for photography but for video is useless! You get what you pay for.

Lightweight but unsteady and movement is clunky.
Bought this as a replacement for my old benro and regret spending the money.I use this with a Canon 400mm f5.6 lens which is lightweight and well under the advised limit however it is very unsteady and often leans. The movment isn't smooth at all and trying to position your lens accurately can require a bit extra effort.

Great but with one fault when taking panoramas
The Gimbal is well built and perfect for handling a large zoom lens on a tripod or monopod. It is well constructed with very little play in the bushing however there is one "fault" that those who wish to take panoramic photos should note:-As per the picture the lens cannot be centralised directly over the pivot point (the lens is held approximately 33mm off the centreline. This could cause slight parallax when doing panoramic photos which is a shame. In all other ways this gimbal is very good.

Junk
The item arrived in a nice box, that's about the only good thing to say. The little compass was smashed. The top swivel point that holds the camera when under load ie camera wobbles about 4mm up-down, left-right. it feels like a cheap bearing that is collapsing. The head locking point the writing is not well printed, the lock screw does not lock the head. SPEND THE EXTRA £9.00 AND GET A DECENT ONE, NOT THIS RUBBISH
