Transformers Masterpiece MP-13 Soundwave KO Version

Two issues with this product, originally I thought this might be an issue with all KO MP-13s, but I now that others are getting their hands on them, I do not believe this to be the case. First was that one of the small fins on the back of laserbeak broke with the initial transformation - joint was too tight, or paint was on too think, not sure which it was but it was not transformable without an excessive amount of force. Even with piece broken, joint was barely able to be moved back and forth. Ended up super gluing the piece back on (image attached - back right fin) and deciding to leave him in bird mode as these are for display anyway so not the end of the world that I won't transform him again...also thinking it's a KO, and perhaps they're all like this. Today, I just received KO buzzsaw today and it turns out this was not the case with either side so it seems I received a defective product.As for Soundwave, I was very happy with him initially, but then noticed that the front part of his left shoulder had not been painted, and was left completely blank (image attached) After looking up images of other KO MP-13s, and youtube reviews, I could not find another one with this same issue, so again it seems I received a defective product.At the end of the day, I guess that's what I get for buying KO. Now, I would have given a better review, but because these issues don't seem to be common among all KOs, so far just the one I've received, I'm rating my experience with this product low.

Soundwave is my fourth KO Transformer figure. Some people have had problems. But so far, I haven't had any. All of my figures are great.Soundwave comes with Laserbeak, a handheld Megatron in gun mode, and his weapons. As you can see in the picture, I posed him similar to how he is posed on the listing. He has fully articulate hands that he can either choke out a naysayer, or he can use it to push his own eject button. Interesting that he has to push his own button. So if you tied his hands, his tapes would be trapped? Food for thought. But anyway, back to the figure. His joints are nice and tight, as are Laserbeak's. The detail on these two is worthy of an IDW comic. I sent the picture to a friend of mine who used to love Soundwave as a kid. He thought it was the greatest thing he'd ever seen and I'm quite sure he is going to buy one.This figure is so awesome. He's what the original G1 figure should have been (as are most of the KO and Masterpiece lines). The price certainly isn't bad for a high quality figure like this.

I just received my Sound wave and found it was sub par. Laser beak gets stuck, I mean literally wedged inside the chest compartment on Sound wave if I insert it. I almost broke The chest getting Laser beak out. The legs seem a little weak and paint is not applied very well. I understand this is a KO. However when you pay $80 for something and get $20 quality that is disappointing. This figure would be fine for a display case or shelf but on close inspection it looks very cheaply made and when transforming is quite loose and non so sturdy. I have received other KO's that are as good or better than the original. My Sound wave was definitely of inferior quality.

I was quite skeptical at buying a knockoff. This is probably my first purchase of a KO Transformer, especially the Masterpiece line. However, watching a few reviews on Youtube got me to purchase one myself. Receiving it, I was absolutely amazed. I wasn't holding a cheap piece of plastic- this stuff is high quality; I don't have the original MP-13 Soundwave so I can't compare it, but I'll say that BestGrey did not fail with providing a great figure. My only complaint would be that the joints are a bit too tight, but I haven't encountered any problems yet from hours and hours of tinkering with him and posing him with Laserbeak and everything! All the accessories he comes with are pretty dang genuine. BestGrey will not disappoint you, not to mention that you get a high quality Masterpiece KO for half the price of the original. A beautiful piece of art, he'll probably be sitting on my desk all the time.In the end, Soundwave Superior!

I love this figure. Impressive detail.I was happy that it arrived much earlier than initially estimated. Well-protected packaging.I liked that the hands have individual, articulated fingers. I loved the paint application and the chromed pieces. I also like that the face visor was correctly painted red, as opposed to yellow.My only critique, (why it doesn't get 5 stars imo), the ratchet joints in the legs are very tight. It makes me nervous to move them when transforming. The wings on Laserbeak are very tight, too. The wings don't fold flush in cassette mode.Overall, I love this figure! And, I would highly recommend it to any fan!

I’ve had the figure for about a week now and I’m very happy with it. The box was a little beat but I’m not a mint collector so I didn’t really have a problem there but felt it may help others. The joints are very tight and the three buttons on him all function very well. It also transforms very well. At first I was afraid of breakage but now having transformed it multiple times there’s no need to worry. Laserbeak is also very cool, with my only complaint being that the paint missed a little on both thrusters. Overall great Figure and am happy to have Soundwave in my collection, even if it’s a KO.

For a KO it's amazing. It's was the G1 Soundwave should have been. This is a crazy detailed figure. Mine had minor paint blemishes on the gold trim around the tape slot, but other than that, no complaints on Soundwave.It really brings back some of my childhoods fondest memories.

Great toy. Just as good as the original. Only thing you need to be aware of is when you transform him to a robot, the hands are hard to open and close because its new at the wrist. So push hard and you will be able to pop the hands out.. Also laserbeak's head is fragile that it came off. But apply a small dab of crazy glue and its brand new. Quality is superb.

I am sure I am not alone in saying that, but this is such a great product and one of the best characters. I also got the KO Rumble and Ravage too which work well.

This figure was a amazing and very fun to handle it looks amazing and Mr. Simon made a great note and was nice and told me why it was disassembled in it’s packing

Excellent!!! I have nothing negative to say about it. Clean paint, nice tight ratcheting, even the friction is nice. Hard to believe it's a KO. I'm very happy with it.

Awesome product and it arrived ahead of time!

i love the guy but the first time that I transformed him a part of his left arm broke but i fixed it with some glue so any one who buys this toy should BE CANFUL but other than...

My son loves this toy. however, Laserbeak arrived without it's head, and a finger joint is held together with a piece of thread.

Another great KO from BestGrey. No issues with the figure and as usual packing for shipping was top notch.

This figure is really good. Really only minor complaints. Some small issues with mold lines and a minor issue with the Decepticon symbol.
