Perfect Match, but a bit expensive for me

Stainless Steel Grill is false advertising! Picture ad is very misleading!
The grill is not stainless steel but just cheap old plastic. It is not worth the price they are asking for it. Also the color must be black to be genuine but the one I received was copper color and did not look good! The part arrived damaged so I sent it back. I would have sent it anyway as it is a cheap replica of the original. I will now buy the grill from a reliable GE parts distributor.

Not chrome not stainless.
This fits perfectly....now the however part. The part number is the the quality was the same. No this is not stainless steel neither is the one you have now it's plastic with chrome-stainless overlay. Mine was cracked and green since I let water drip and sit in the catch this part seemed like the right replacement despite the price we ordered it. When it arrived I was disappointed to find it was gold / bronze and I had to pay to ship it back.

Changing Gooky to Looking Brand New!
Mine had gotten gooky and green. I was delighted to find this on Amazon. The store where I bought the fridge said I needed the part number. Ugh.

Two important few points about this item.
1- It is not stainless steel, it is chrome plated injection molded plastic2- it is a very poor match for the stainless GE profile refrigerator I bought it for. Finish is very dark next to the other stainless on the refrigerator.

Decent product but cost too much for a simple piece of plastic.
It fit perfectly. The color is a bit off from the rest of my fridge. It is more like platinum than stainless steel. The original one had gotten really ugly from calcification so this fits the bill.

Adequate
Agree with others: it is NOT stainless steel. It’s plastic. Just as what it’s replacing. The original lasted for 13 years and started to peel. I’m sure I won’t have this for another 13 years. Yes, color is slightly off. And the size is a hair off as well, so not a perfect fit. But overall it’s adequate. And GE is out of stock on replacements last I checked. And the price was similar.
