Had to turn aux on with no cd in drive
It worked for my DEH-P3700MP pioneer. Initially no source for cd changer (aux) was available when I plug it in even when phone is plugged in. However after ejecting cd I was able to turn aux on with function button.

Cheap way to get aux chord for pioneer head units
Great product for pioneer head units. Only issue I notice is that sound will start to cut out after around 2 years. Cheap enough to just keep buying them.
