worth the expense
I have used this product for years to protect extensive hosta gardens. While it is expensive, the bottle is concentrated and lasts most of the summer. You will need to have a sprayer. I tend to reapply it sooner than they say, especially after a heavy rain and in the spring when the plants are first leafing out. I want the deer to learn early this is not a home to which they want to return. It is quite "aromatic" so I recommend applying it at the END of your workday so you don't have to smell it any longer than the application time. It fades by the next morning but still works on the deer.

It really does work!
Evidently I live at deer and critter central. It seems like at any given time there is a critter wanting to get at my plants. Recently I had a really bad episode with some well developed hot peppers and some jumbo sized Benaryโs Giant Zinnias. The deer trimmed them within an inch of their lives. Usually I have netting to protect things, but sometimes I miss stuff. I mentioned my plight in passing to one of my friends. She told me she had heard good things about this stuff. Turns out, itโs awesome! Let me tell you though, this is stuff STINKS. Please donโt duplicate my first experience: I was at the kitchen sink getting ready to mix the concentrate with some water in a spray bottle. I accidentally squeezed the bottle a bit too hard, and it erupted with concentrate getting all over my hands and all over the sink. It was a bad scene. On the much brighter sideโฆ this stuff is like magic. My plants are growing large and tall. I do remember to apply it regularly. However, unlike some competing products, this stuff is much more forgiving when it comes to reapplying after rain. You can get away with applying it less frequently, even when it rains. Overall, this is one of the best purchases Iโve ever made. I have three other competing products in storage. I see no need to ever use them again.

Keeps the rabbits out of my garden!
I tried this last year after something - I believe it may have been a rabbit - got into my garage and decimated all of the plants I had stored there prior to planting them. I did notice a lot less plant damage after I started using it. This year, I didn't spray my vegetable plants immediately after planting them, and I came back the next day to find my cauliflower gone and all of my green bean plants nothing but stems. Some of the bean stems started putting out new leaves and I sprayed them, and they haven't been eaten since - despite the fact that I have seen 3 rabbits in my yard in the last week. Here are the pros and cons, based on my own experience. Pros: - Completely natural, I'm not putting down any chemicals - Seems to do a pretty good job of deterring the animals in my yard - The effect lasts a little while, so I don't have to spray every day - Easier than putting up fencing, and hungry animals always seem to find a way past a fence - Smell is not as horrific as I thought it would be. It smells mostly of garlic and seems to dissipate in the yard after a few minutes. I don't need to wear a mask and I find my clothes don't smell as long as I am careful not to spray myself. Cons: - Only protects foliage that has been sprayed - in other words, any foliage that grows after you apply the product is not protected and may get eaten. So you do need to spray more often when plants are young and growing quickly (I spray every few days early in the growing season) - Plants have to be dry in order for the product to adhere to them and they can't get wet until it dries, so you have to plan accordingly around rain and watering - You are not supposed to spray directly on the edible parts of the plants (fruits, vegetables, herbs) because the spray may not wash off completely and could cause bad tastes - "my" animals seem to leave the vegetables alone if I've sprayed the leaves, but this may not be the case for all animals Buying the concentrate and mixing it yourself is a much better value. This is my second year using Bobbex and I've been recommending it to others.

this product is useless after a few days
i sprayed this stuff everywhere and mixed it so it was stronger than the instructions said. after a few days the rabbits took no notice of the repellent and continued about their business as normal

Best thing for keeping critters out!
Great product to keep critters away. Iโve tried nearly every possible method to keep squirrels and rabbits out of my garden and stop eating my plants. Bobbex was a game changer! I recommend this product to every garden friend! The smell is strong for the first day or so, but get past it and the product works amazingly well!

Sort of effective
I have gotten mixed results over the past two seasons. Recently I sprayed a young tomato plant but the next morning a rabbit had munched on it! However, there has been far less damage on my landscape perennials.

Stinky stuff to repel hungry pests
To be honest, I'm not sure 100% if this is working, but I didn't notice any more buds eaten on my roses after I sprayed. The stuff does stink though so it's definitely going to be noticeable to a rabbit or deer.
