Travelon 3 Space Mates Compression Bags, Clear, 11.5 x 9.25 x 0.75

I have two sets of these now for when I travel. I love having them in my suit case. They were like packing cubes for me, but allow for extra room. I started recently using them while also rolling my clothes, and I liked that just as well. I usually try to bring an extra one empty in case I purchase anything. They are also great for sorting wet or dirty clothes. Great buy. I used to use the plastic bag type, but I like that these seem more durable, and I really like the closure style that uses friction and doesn't require the plastic "zipper.'

I like these bags so much better than the ones with the zipper. I find the zippers are tricky and not reliable, but with Travelon Space Mates you just press the ends of the bag closed, roll and air gets removed and stays out, the clothing stays compressed. The big bag is large enough that it can be used to protect clothes in your suitcase from getting wet (e.g. from rain or leaking shampoo - both have happened to me). It's not necessary to compress if you're concerned about wrinkles, just think of it as an extra layer of protection. I always pack clean undies & socks in one bag and take another for dirties, so having 3 is perfect. The little one is great for just a weekend. These bags are very durable.

The large size bag is enormous. It is bigger than a carry on suitcase. Don't why anyone would need a bag that big. 1 small and 2 mediums would be better. The bags are great if you use the vacuum feature but if you try to roll the bags to pus hair out, they work okay. I have found that after rolling them and putting them in my suitcase, the air vents usually let air back in.

These seem to work pretty well once you figure out how to work with the sealing sections. They are just 'sticky' plastic, so you have to make sure they are flat and match up to each other well, then you just roll the collar seal area and keep rolling your bagged items up (I found that works better than trying to press down the whole flat pack at once). Stays compressed. Easy to use when backpacking or travelling away from a vacuum cleaner. Since they're airtight, they will also assure your things will stay dry should your bag get wet.

I was going on an international trip and had quite a few items that I needed to carry with me- other than clothing. I saw a YouTube video that talked about these compression bags and I decided to give them a try. I was pleasantly surprised at the multiple sizes that were offered. I didn't pay attention to that when ordering so I thought I would receive 3 bags of the same size. Well, the small size was perfect for fitting smaller bulkier items. The large bag fit most of my dresses and skirts and blouses that I would need for my nearly 3 week trip. The instructions indicate that you can use these with our without a vacuum, and I opted to try it without bringing out my vacuum. Well I was so surprised at how easy and effective it worked! Simply squeezing and rolling the contents, allowed a lot of air to escape. I even sat on it while rolling :) It compressed my items and I was amazed at how much space remained in my suitcase for the extra items that I needed to take on my trip. I had to keep in mind the weight of the suitcase still, although I now had all of this extra space, but these compression bags did what they promised to do. I was very happy with this and don't plan to travel without these when I have a few too many items to take with me. :)

I could not get these bags to compress using my vacuum. I contacted customer service and they sent me a how to video instructing me how to do it, and I followed the directions, but nothing happened. Squeezing the air out by rolling it worked better, but now as well as I would like as some air did get back in. Also, one of the bags broke on the second day of use, the bottom almost completely splitting. Would not purchase again, wish I could return them.

I had two Lg and bought two more. This is my first mixed bag of sizes. The small is truly small. Think traveling like cruising and pretty much underwear will fit. The Medium is decently sized although I am a huge fan of the Lg size.Why Lg over the other sizes? When I fold my clothes or even just lay them flat and stack them in the Lg bag I do not have terrible wrinkling and I pack them to store seasonal wares.I intend to pack blankets and throws in my additional large bags and store them in my ottoman for the summer.With the Medium and small bags they are honestly for travel and are not versatile enough for my intended purposes. And will likely sit inside my suitcases until travel is more feasible* (COVID restrictions).

I normally love this brand, but when I used these for some clothes and blankets, they reinflated a few days later. I'm reeeeeeally sad about it! 😭 It also doesn't look like the picture. It's got a corner triangle valve instead of a corner square.

These bags work great and make it very easy to pack. I use the various sizes for things - small for underwear, medium for t-shirts and blouses, large for pants.

Shocked that the product had been opened and contained debris and hair inside. Pretty disgusting considering it is supposed to be a new product. I ordered 2, one was taken out of the box and refolded, with the box and safety seal opened, while the other had been half hazardly taped with masking tape and had black long hair inside the box. Products themselves are great, as I have used them before but shocked at the quality of packaging coming from Amazon. Shocking considering I am buying a new product at new price.That aside, these are great compression bags. I've been using mine for 3 years and one recently got a hole from overpacking, I lost the others. Medium/Small are great for carry on bags. Large is good for larger sweaters. Material is a silicon like plastic, not plastic like a ziploc bag. I like this as it molds to the contents and rolls easily with no wasted space.

The compression bags work as claimed with no issues.

In comparison with other travel compression bags this is too heavy for the low baggage allowances permitted on most air carriers today. It is more like a heavier vinyl than a light "freezer bag" material. They might be better suited for your seasonal clothing where weight is not an issue.

The bags appear as advertised.
