Q: What is the best way to clean the bags? Are the bags dishwasher safe?

Hi, I would never put these in the dishwasher the heat may be too hot and melt them. I just use hot soapy water when washing my dishes which I do and prefer by hand and I let them air dry. The good thing about these bags is I have used them over and over and they are fine. The pump, on the other hand, stopped working after 2 uses each time so I found a hand-held cordless one on Amazon I use with these bags and it works perfect. Hopes this helps not everything is for the dishwasher

I'm not sure I understand your question. If you are asking if the manual, hand, vacuum pump included with this kit will work with on Mason Jar containers - the answer is no. This manual hand pump is designed for evacuating the air from flexible, plastic, bags with a one-way valve. Jim

Q: I can't figure out how to make the pump work to suck air out of a bag. Do you need to puncture the spot on the bag where it has the blue air valve?

NO don't puncture the bag!! Just hold the suction device straight up over the valve and pump. Use a bit of pressure so the suction device doesn't loose suction. Mine works GREAT!! I hope this helps.

Q: Are these temperature safe in a pressure cooker?

No need to pressure cook in a bag. Kind of defeats the purpose of pressure cooking.
