RDP Hooded Wall Vent with Screen and Damper (10 Inch, White)

Product build very solid, great quality, bid pricey, but well worth it. Works great with exhaust fan, flapper moves freely, superior craftsmanship without doubt.

I used one of these vent outlets to terminate the ducting from a pop-up kitchen exhaust vent. The install was thru a brick wall and 2x6 framing plus foam insulation, so I needed to extend the attached tail pipe, but that was easy enough and plenty sturdy. The damper seems to be working well, and overall I'm very happy with this unit.The loss of a star is tied to 1) it costs more than I believe it should; 2) the animal screening that comes with it is not attached securely; and 3) there are no pre-drilled mounting holes (this is really minor). The most significant of these items is the screen, which came clunking around in the box at delivery because it really doesn't attach to anything. Yes, the spring in the screen metal with kind of hold it in place, but a squirrel could easily pop it out of the way. So the night before install, I ended up mixing up some epoxy to attach it securely. It'll be tough getting it back out now if I ever have to repair the damper, but I'll deal with that should the need arise. In the meantime, it should keep the squirrels at bay.Otherwise, it's a nice vent outlet and is working well.

This is a well designed and built product. Very sturdy, easy to install, spring - loaded damper works pretty well. Nice job!

I bought a few different ones and this one ended up the winner. Easy to install for residential vent hood, 6" vent. Bird screen nice and vent door closes easily and fairly quiet. I'm a remodel contractor so will use this again.

Bought this to go inside hood over my La Cornue range. It works just fine!
