BLACK+DECKER IMPACT Advanced Steam Iron, IR3010

I waited few months before writing this review.Good points:1. You can Iron on board and also on hanger, the steam function is really cool.2.Steam is very powerful and also has always on function.3.Pretty decent weight and its not heavy4. Heats up pretty quickly, I get decent temperature in 15 seconds5. Comes with manufacture 4 year warranty6. Iron sole is stainless steel and glides smoothly over all material, also we have used this product for few months almost everyday and the sole still looks as new.7. 3-Way Auto Shutoff, shuts off when not in use for eight minutes on the heel and 30 seconds on the soleplate or sides, which is quite cool.8. Button for steam burst which is ok.The Bad:So far nothingConclusionIn this price range i think this is a very good buy and I definitely recommend it.

This is a very nice iron from Black and Decker that really does everything you ask it to. Warms up quickly and evenly and does a nice job distributing heat. I found the iron very easy to use and the handle ergonomically friendly so as to not cause wrist pain with extended use. The steam function worked as expected without any leakage and the reservoir was easy to fill.There are these plastic bumpers that are supposed to protect the iron if it falls. I didn't test them out and I was unconvinced they would do much but this is an iron, not an iPhone. If you leave the iron on it's heel, it has an automatic shutoff after 8 mins which is pretty brilliant. Supposedly it has a 30 sec turn off if it's on it face but I didn't try this out.Overall, this is a solid quality iron.

This is a good quality iron, I think it has some pros and cons from my own personal preferences in terms of what an iron needs but overall its a very good product. It irons my clothes with relative ease. I think they best feature is the blue ironing plate that has indentations in the surface. it seems to be gentler on the clothes and allows for better steam penetration. It also cools off faster than my old iron so I can put it away faster. I also think it has a decent steam function, and I always use steam with distilled water when ironing.There is a large slanted hole on the handle for you to add the water, and its large enough that thankfully I dont need to use a funnel. That being said. my main con with this iron is that sometimes it seems like it steams a lot, then I iron the next item without changing the dial and it seems to not be steaming as much. It also goes through water faster and spits a little.Overall I think it is gentle on clothes and easy to use. I think I have some things I would improve about the steam mechanism but as a whole it is a nice product.

This is the second time I bought this: one for my mom, and one for me (I was so impressed with the size and make of it).How often do you buy an iron?Well, I left my mom’s iron at my sewing group meeting, and figured it was lost when no one said they had grabbed it for me. Flash forward a month, after I had bought two irons, and I finally was told someone grabbed my mom’s iron for me. (I am pretty steamed about that.)Should I tell her to keep it? Better yet, that old iron can be the one I use during my sewing meetings, because I surely don’t want to lose my new iron!It is much bigger, and has an auto shut-off function my mom’s old iron did not have. I know, from another iron my mom had that she had let me use, that pressing can eventually (over years) make the bottom plate drop. So, I am pressing much more gingerly now.It has steam, it looks cool, and it seems sturdy.

The first iron amazon sent me didn't work, the lite came on but it wouldn't get hot. The second iron amazon sent works, but leak proof it is not. It leaks a lot water even on the lowest setting. Now to top of this bad purchase amazon only paid for one attempt to pick up the faulty iron. The UPS who was supposed to pick it up, knocked on the door once and then ran off. By the time I walk to my door, from across the living room, he was gone. This was not worth my time or my money!

I use a lot of "Black & Decker" products, and have never been disappointed in them.This iron is great , it has some outstanding features. It turns itself off when not in use, but is ready to iron when you are ready without having to reheat. If you pause during the ironing, and stand the iron up, for lets ( say 10 minutes,) when you return, all you have to do is set the iron flat again and it is ready to iron within 1 minute. To turn it off for good , you have to unplug it . ( which you should do for safety anyway. ) Marie

Settings are confusing. Directions for settings are even more confusing. Over these years, I used this ironinfrequently. Only for ironing pants and shirts. Last week I plugged it in and it didn't heat up. Tried several settings and outlets. Dead!The only best feature I found was the design ergonomic.

The functions are pretty fair for a Black + Decker iron, with the considerable price the only downer on my end is that it is heavy and not easy to use, sometimes it seems like it doesn't heat up correctly or at very high temperatures other than that it has a super cool look and like I said it is a fair iron.

I have been through a great many irons over the last 46 years, including some of the top rated ones. The Black and Decker Impact Advanced Steam Iron is by far the best I have ever owned. I am fussy ironer and this surpasses any other top brand. The only drawback which I am getting used to is that it is heavy, small price to pay for perfect ironing.Marje, New Brunswick, Canada

La plancha se calienta de forma rápida, por lo que no hay que esperar mucho para empezar a utilizarla. Tiene una luz que indica el encendido y se autoapaga después de 10 min., si no se utiliza. Debajo del mango está un botón para activar el vapor y se puede utilizar en prendas colgadas. El envío desde EUA llegó antes de la fecha indicada.
