needed a driver update
To be clear I am reviewing the ASUS ROG R7 (G10DK) RTX 3060 Desktop; AMD Ryzen 7 5700G with 32GB of 3200MHz RAM and WD Blue SN550 NVMe SSD.I was having trouble with the Realtek 8822CE Wireless device on this PC. The WiFi connection was slow. It worked, but it was <40 Mbps on average. Other devices worked as expected (200-300 Mbps on wifi in the same room). I ended up finding a link to the ROG forum through Reddit with an updated driver for this device. https://rog.asus.com/forum/showthread.php?118059-DRIVERS-Realtek-Ethernet-WiFi-Bluetooth/page2#post851338 I had gone through other means of trying to fix the issue with no luck including speaking with ASUS support, who wanted me to run a system restore, because I wasn't sure if the issue was happening before I updated to Windows 11 for certain. Now it's working great.More importantly, this PC doesn't even flinch when a game is started. There are better systems and cards out there, but the spec I got works fine playing DOOM Eternal in 4k using DLSS, FreeSync, HDR, etc. It's a lot of fun to play on.

ASUS ROG R7 RTX 3060 Desktop - Good and Bad
I guess I'll start with the good. Runs great, no problems. Mine has the upgraded video card, which I don't really need, but it's there if I want to add several more monitors. Rainbow LEDs are very beautiful, nice touch. Now for the bad. You can't upgrade it. You can upgrade the memory, add a hard drive, but that's it. The graphics card is so big that it hides the other slots, so forget about adding another card. So my firewire card that goes to my audio interface, kiss all that goodbye. USB only. Big expense. There's also a western digital drive which has a history of dying in a few years. The other thing is that I re3ceived an open box computer, yet I paid full price for a new one. The see-through cover you can put on has scratches on it and there are various palm and fingerprints on what I received. The ole bait and switch. So if you have no time to re-box it back up, send it back, wait for another computer, stay away from this.
