Use either the twin-lead to 300 ohm screws tuner; or, a balun connector to 75 ohm in. Put the ribbon about 1/2 way adjusted for a good impedance match.

I don't have a metal roof so I can't say for sure. Any chance you could put up a roof FM? They are easy to put up and almost invisible. Dynalab makes one. Any outdoor antenna beats any indoor.

37" is the maximum. Trust me, height isn't a concern for you if you have 37" to play with. But this is not a durable antenna by any definition. If you buy one? Handle it with care.

Q: Has this antenna been utilized successfully in reducing FM hiss?

I am not sure what you mean by 'fm hiss'. I live in remote rural area drawing on FM from 60 to 75 miles away. After at least a half dozen antennas, including a specialized FM antenna by Shakespeare at over $100, this small and unobstrusive SR100 beats them all. Most by a lot. The 3 'ribbon arms' are moveable...meaning if you hold the center and pull up, it will rise and pull the side wings down. And vice versa. These handy adjustments work really well, especially at the distances I am pulling in. I also added a amplifier to the antenna. It boosts the signal. This connects to a power strip with a EMI electrical 'filter' for antennas, before the RCA (solid silver) connections with your tuner/radio. From my tuner I run another pair of RCA in solid silver to my amp. I am now listenting to a classical music public radio station 65 miles away and the violins I hear now are sweet and crystal clear.
