After defective initial unit was replaced it has been very reliable.
[Update: I am changing my review to 4 stars because the company on their own initiative sent me a new unit free of charge. I am giving it another try and so far it is working well. If this one holds up maybe it was just a defective unit or bad batter on the first one.]We liked it initially. It was loud enough to hear throughout our small office.However, after a short time the button stopped working reliably. It seemed to only work when pressed on a corner of the large square button, not when pressed in the center?I am returning the product and ordering a different doorbell to see if we have better luck with that one.

GREAT DOORBELL FOR HARD OF HEARING!!!
Your browser does not support HTML5 video. I bought this for my 85-year-old Dad because he is a bit hard of hearing. The great thing about this doorbell is, it gets really loud and has a flashing light as the music or chime is activated. It has 36 musical / sound selections and arrives with the doorbell button, the receiver which plugs into a normal household outlet, an X (Phillips Screwdriver), a battery for the doorbell push button and a piece of 3M double stick sponge tape to stick the doorbell button to a clean smooth surface. The Smart Doorbell also has 3 volume levels.HINTS: When installing the battery + - are not marked. The - side goes to the spring, also use a piece of tape to hold the battery in place while re-assembling the doorbell button (see photo).

This is a pretty good buy
This is a pretty good buy. It has a varied selection of 36 tones or melodies, even some Jewish ones. It has visual indication with bright flashing of the blue ring on the receiver, which may help the hearing imparted or in noisy areas. The button also has positive feedback for the button press with bright blue LEDs in the outline of the button. It isn't necessarily a smart doorbell. It can pair 3 more buttons. It has a pretty good range.

Great doorbell!
Super cool and easy to setup. Very user friendly, and love the veriety of doorbell sound setting. LED light at the ring button looks decorative and easy to press especially in the dark. Excellent value!

Works well for several months until battery dies, stops working on a monthly basis & have to replace battery. It's not reliable
Works well for several months, until the batteries run out, for which it will work for 1 month at a time. I've already had to replace the battery 3x in 3 months. Not recommended or reliable for places with colder weather because it stops working. Now our search continues for a more reliable sustainable product.

Got the doorbell today and use it for my other entrance of the house. You can adjust the volume of the sound which I love.
