AtwoodSLI Lighting 37698 Hydro Flame Motor

A good value for the money, was exact replacement for the old motor, not an easy installation but not because of the motor but because of where it has to go. New motor is very quiet.

This is a perfect fit as described for the Atwood RV heater model 8535-IV-DCLP, 34K BTU.The low score is due to ZERO packing in the box for a permanent magnet motor. The manufacturer should know better than to let the shippers bounce this around with no foam or bubble wrap!!Right out of the box, the motor was grinding and locking up. The permanent magnets where broken.Being short on time and unable to return it, I used the good parts with the old motor frame.Quality of the motor is good.

These Furnace blower motors are junk that last 2 winters and the bearings go out. So better have a back up one ready for cold weather when it goes bad. The older motors put out more RPM's than the newer ones like this one I just got. So less air flow, less efficient furnace, less BTU's and it will use more propane to heat the RV. Wish I could find an one that is New Old Stock made in the U.S.A..

Easy to install

Was an exact replacement for my Attwood 8535 furnace. Took a little bit of work to change, my blower for the burner was rusted on and took some time to get off. Not the fault of the new motor obviously just saying. The new just slid right in and went together quickly.

The first motor from another Company made so much noise, I believe do to poor backing and being dropped by the delivery guy. But, this motor arrived in great shape installed easily runs super quite. I would buy again from this Company. Thanks

The armature made more noise than it should have when turned on

Works great! I was leary about buying one this inexpensive but it’s just fine. I would recommend buying bout fans though because I only bought the smaller one and struggled with the larger original metal one a bit. I did have to cut my original wires but it’s fine and purring like a kitten not screaming like a dying cat. (A lot of people associated the noise that way) watched a couple YT videos and figured it out.

I am pleased that this motor has been the answer to the noise I was having with my furnace when I would turn it on.I was hopeful this would be the answer as it could have been a really expensive fix if I would have had to replace the furnace.I also replaced the sail switch as we felt this would be a good time to install it as we had the motor out of the RV and was easy to get at. Motor wasn’t the actual number that was on the older one but the information provided indicated that it was the correct one to use. Very happy with the product.
