I was in the market for a 1/14-1/16 scale buggy for my yard and was looking at the Losi Mini 8ight and the Axial Yeti Jr.. Well, Losi ended up discontinuing the standard buggy and only have a scale desert buggy. The Axial just needs too many upgrades to be reliable based on reviews as well as my collection of 1/10 sized vehicles. Additionally, I was not looking for a scale vehicle, I wanted something fast with a low center of gravity. I have enough scale buggies and crawlers. While doing some research I came across the LC Racing EMB-1 buggy, aka Tacon Soar. All of the reviews were solid and compared it to the Losi but with some better designs. For instance, the spur gear is enclosed so it does not get jammed up with dirt and pebbles. I was not a fan or ordering a model that does not really have a presence in the US due to lack of parts availability. I pulled the trigger anyway since there is not really many options out there for what I was looking for.The car came fairly quickly and the packaging was very nice. I did not use the battery it came with, I used a 2s lipo instead. This thing is fast and very responsive. I had to do some minor tweaking of the shock settings but once its dialed in its quick. I have had too many crashes to count at this point and the only thing I have broken was the rear wing which, tbh, should have broken way sooner. I was able to use a Traxxas truggy wing that fits perfectly but apparently the Losi one fits too. I do not know how I have not broken at least an a-arm or spindle or something. For where I am using this car a 3s lipo is excessive but would be stupid fast and most likely need a wheelie bar. This buggy is super solid and quite worth the money. You can almost buy two of these for the price of the Losi.

Tough fast little buggy
The media could not be loaded. Do yourself a favor. Either visit or order from hobby people (2) 2200mah 3s lipos with a nice charger balancer. Don't buy a cheap one. Much better off spending a little more and getting a lot more. You will be amazed at what a good charger can do for your batteries. These batteries charge extremely quick and last a good amount of time with all the power you need in this car. Now to the car!!! Take a minute to go through and make sure all of the screws are tightened down as recommended. Once complete, put in your fully charged hobby people 3s helicopter battery and get ready for some serious speed. I have owned them all, Traxxas, Associated, Redcat, XTM, HPI, and many more. I am a veteran rc guy that is a big fan of castle creations products because I am in it to go fast. I want to fly as much as I can. Tough as nails little buggy I have tortured and it loves every second of it. Check out the video of this car on my street with the 3s fully charged and I am sure you will buy one of these cars. Its a smaller car than what I am used to but it is twice as much fun. Super quick, excellent traction, responsive steering, outstanding breaking, performs well on or off road, easy to stabilize in mid air flight. Comes with basic 2.4ghz controller that has very good range, fully adjustable aluminum oil filled shocks that as you will see in the video do a superb job of keeping the wheels on the ground. Don't hesitate to buy this car, you will be very satisfied as long as you buy the batteries and charger. The batteries are only $15.99 ea. and you can get a good charger for around $100. Buggy is tough, I drive mine extremely hard pretty much every day and have done so for almost a month now and have had nothing break. Bottom line, enjoy the video and enjoy your new tacon soar. Best out of the box car I have ever owned.

This car is amazing
This car is amazing and great deal for the money. Car is fast and fun with stock setup, but really comes to life once you put a lipo in it. I am using 2s venom fly 2000mah 30c battery and this car is a blast. Will spin all 4 wheels or wheelie during launch and does ~35mph for top speed. The suspension is a little soft so it bottoms out a little easily and have to be careful jumping it. I upgraded to some stiffer springs and slightly larger wheels from 1:10 buggy. These cars have 12mm hex hub, so most 1:10 scale wheels will fit. The spindles are a bit fragile and will probably break in first head on crash, but they are very cheap and easy to replace. All spare parts are available on NitroRCX.com, just search for this car and select the "spare parts & upgrades" tab. Highly recommended, stop thinking about it and just get it. Also check out the other flavors available (Soar, Valor, Cavalry, Thriller, ranger rally), they are all built off same/similar chassis with different body and wheels.

Great RC car for a great price.
I'm not an RC car guy, but my friend convinced me to buy an RC car. It ran great with the exception of cogging off the start. From the start, unboxing was a pleasant and well put together experience. Everything was packaged nicely. The car itself is VERY well built, sturdy, and pretty looking! But the one problem.. the ESC on the one I had received was getting hot quickly.I'm a multirotor guy. Building quads is easy, you buy four of the same motors and you can mix and match. I am not used to the fact that RC cars have to have each part replaced by exactly the same thing. I couldn't get over that so I returned it based on the ESC problems. Oh well..TL;DR:Really nice RC car I would recommend to anyone looking for something cheap, fast, and likely to last.
