Action Man 50th Anniversary Edition - British Infantryman

It looks amazing in the box but one you get it out that’s when you realise it’s a cheap replica. The nude figure is cheap Poundland plastic that can be squeezed with your finger and thumb. The rubber grip hands are plastic/rubber combo. The magazine for the sten gun won’t stay in the gun , won’t even fit as it flies out like it’s been pushed out with an air pocket. The respirator hoses keep falling apart too.The clothing is brilliant however , well made with no issues , boots are spot on and feel original , gun feels good apart from the magazine. Over all this I feel toy isn’t meant to be out of the box , out of the box it just seems to fall apart.My advice is to buy a replacement original body from eBay and keep the equipment.

Expensive really, yes, but I couldn't resist. I have one original Action Man from the late 60s, half clothed etc, play worn and no boots. I had loads of uniforms but I gave them to jumble sales and now I do regret it.This new doll is as well put together as the original and looks terrific in his British Infantry uniform. Can I suggest the idea of a range of uniform packs as per the original like Australian jungle fighter and deep sea diver? I can see them being really popular.

Contrary to what the gripers have been saying, this is excellent. The uniforms top notch. Perhaps a few insignia changes, brown rubber boots instead of lace up black ones which always were difficult to tie up. True, his hands are harder - but they're durable and won't deteriorate and harden.Unlike the 40th, the body is a hard plastic, his flocking doesn't come off at the merest touch so nothing to worry there.If you're annoyed at the gas mask coming apart, superglue it together. If you can't get the ammo clip into the Sten Gun, CAREFULLY slice some of the clip down to fit...For £38.99 this is a great toy. Having sold my vast 21 years and more Action Man collection in its entirety to Alan Hall himself and not cherry picking the choicest dolls I owned I sadly slightly regret losing my boys so bought this chap and am very happy for it. I shall be proudly displaying him on parade in a brand new Ikea glass cabinet when my lovely Girlfriend buys one for me for my birthday....I hope Art + Science release more figures....

What's not to love? I'm now half-a-century old and loved Action Man as a kid in the seventies, so finding this item on sale again was a absolute pleasure. I'll be honest, my one isn't for playing with now, its for display and remembering when life was easier, more joyful and less stressful.

Art + Science have not only bought Action Man back & made Action Man fit into today's world of computers. A quality product & to me not only is the Action Man figure quality & details but the outfits & equipment are brilliant made & detailed.Fantastic product. Can't wait for the other 5 Action Man 50th Anniversary Figures 2017.I highly recommend this product.

Just got my action man today, a big disappointment.face too thin , hands nothing like original can hardly open them to grip gun.knee joints too loose.Nothing like the quality of the original.Only positive is the uniform .will be getting a second hand original and binning this apart from uniform .far too over priced

Fantastic, love it!!!! Just like the original. In fact I got 2 and the ski one! My wife thinks I am regressing!!!! I probably am :-)

My 11 year old’s favourite present! He loves all the details like the little gas mask. I was also v impressed with the service because once I notified that on opening the original Action Man, we noticed a fault, a replacement was sent the NEXT DAY even before they’d received the damaged doll. The New doll is perfect and has given loads of fun to my little boy.

Product is great, I bought this for my 2 year old grandson to play with, seems most people will cringe at the thought of a 2 year old playing with this but!, its a toy! and he loves it!!

Swift delivery, but parts missing, no booklet. Looks like a second.

A nice toy but his hand snapped off rather easily! It's presented really well in the box and looks great.

Action man same as old toy. No batteries just imagination required.
