Best feeder ever !!!!
Love these feeders. Use both on the ground on our cement patio, and mounted on a pressure treated post in the yard (we don’t have any trees). Feed peanuts and dry dog food to raccoons opossums squirrels. Yes, the critters chew on them a bit before they figure out how to use them, but they do learn quickly. Have had two for 7-8 years, recently bought another so now have three. Very sturdy, well made.

Squirrels are loving it!
This is a well-made rot-resistant feeder. It will never look "shabby" from wear or rot! I love the quality and ease of filling. It appears easy to clean, should it need to be rinsed. It's easy to fill without unscrewing the jar as well as taking it apart. I just placed some peanuts and seed in the bottom and some squirrel-ready corn cobs on top without unscrewing the jar. It took the squirrels only one day to find (and love) this feeder. So far, it is keeping them off my deck and away from desperately climbing the bird feeder pole. The squirrels look so cute in the jar and sit in the "house" part of it, sticking their heads in the jars for food. I have mine screwed into a tree and can see it from the kitchen window. I love this feeder and the quality of it!! I'm so glad I purchased it after eyeing it for a while.

Jenkins squirrel feeder
I have been using this squirrel feeder for about 8 months now. I consider this feeder well built and very durable.I chose to mount this feeder on the top rail of my deck for ease of access to clean and refill. The width of the feeder matches the width of the 2" x 6" top rail (5.5" wide). As can be seen from the photo, I secured the feeder to the top rail using 3 long plastic tie wraps.I fill my feeder with unshelled peanuts, acorns from my oak tress, and black seeds I use for my bird feeders. The squirrels do tend to shell these items in the direct vicinity of the feeder. This does create debris that needs to be swept or blown from the deck.If I were to make one suggestion, it would be tl have the ability to clean out the little house area of debris easier than reaching in and using ones fingers to scoop up the leavings.I would suggest mounting this unit where it is easily accessed. I have to refill this feeder about every two days.It is entertaining to watch the squirrels feeding. On several occasions, two squirrels have tried to feed at the same time. They will get into a tussle in the glass jar. I have wished for video as the two squirrels will go round and round akin to clothes in a dryer. Most humorous.

(I am certain the neighbors love her LOL)
Christmas gift for my mom - who is probably THE hardest person to purchase gifts for. This year, I sat down and thought really hard about the gift I wanted to get her. She loves the squirrels and birds and stray cats in her yard and she feeds them all!!! (I am certain the neighbors love her LOL). But, these are the things that make her happy- so I ran with it. I remember her mentioning the blue jays in her yard steal the food from the squirrels, so I started researching squirrel feeders. This one seemed to look much sturdier than similar ones on the market, even though it had the least amount of reviews to go on.She loved it!! She put it up on her tree that day. It took her squirrel friends about 2 days to figure out how to get the food out of the feeder, but they soon got the hang of it. Mom states the blue jay's no longer steal the squirrel food, and she likes the fact that the feeder keeps the food dry when the weather is wet.She had no problems attaching it to the tree and she has stated that it is sturdy and very well made.I ordered it pretty close to Christmas, and it was expected to get to her after the holidays. What a surprise it was when it was delivered the weekend before Christmas - only a few days after I placed my order (insert smiley face here).Highly recommend this feeder. Mom and the squirrels concur. The blue jays however, give it two thumbs down!

Perfect for Squirrels, dangerous for birds
I purchased this on April 3rd, 2019. I love this as a squirrel feeder. I wish the little house had a clean-out trap- door (in the floor). Most of the shells end up in the house. Overall it has given us many hours of entertainment. But I have had Blue Jays, Starlings, and a Cardinal trapped inside the glass jar part. If anyone has found a solution to this problem using this particular squirrel feeder, I would like to know about it. This feeder lost one star because of the danger it poses for birds.Regarding the Warmth feature - I am not sure what warmth has to do with squirrel feeders.

Replaced wooden feeder with this one
We have been through two wooden feeders and decided to replace the last one with this composite plastic. We have a bird feeder of the same material and it has held up well. The wooden ones eventually rot and have to be replaced. We have very ambitious raccoons that make keeping the jar intact a challenge. We use a bungee cord to keep them from knocking the jar to the ground.

Fun to watch critters help themselves!
It took about 3 days for our red and gray squirrels to figure out how to help themselves to peanuts. They love it and it's fun for us to watch!

Great feeder
Lots of people look for bird feeders to keep the squirrels out, but we needed a squirrel feeder to keep the birds out and this one works great. Attached it directly to the lower trunk of a pine tree that the squirrels were already used to frequenting and they figured it out immediately. The box is attractive and well made and we love the shelf that allows the "diners" a place to perch and enjoy their treat as well as allowing us to watch them. The box itself holds a nice amount of peanuts that only requires refilling every 4 - 5 days for the number of squirrels we get. Very nice product!

Excellent and beautifully made Squirrel feeder
Very impressed and pleased with quality and appearance of this excellent product. Beautifully made. Only weak side of it is that lid is little bit heavy for our small RED squirrels, who are much smaller than the common grey squirrels.

Very heavy lid
My grey squirrels can get into the feeder but they don't seem to like it. If I put any other feeder out they will avoid this one in favor of the other feeders. The only thing wrong with it is the lid is too heavy for them. The older adults can manage it but it is way too heavy for the young squirrels. The feeder is built to last but unless I can lighten the lid it's not really that usable.
