Good lights, great look, even illumination....only wished they lasted a little longer throughout the night.
Great complimentary piece to any outdoor setting. These fit my posts as expected and when secured with the screws included you wont have to worry about them blowing away. Now as far as light output and durability I've been satisfied. I will say they dont last as long throughout the night as I would have hoped and if I had to guess I would say they stay illuminated for about 4-6 hours once they turn on. They're not as bright as to illuminate a pathway or walkway but will provide enough light to provide boundary limitations. They have a single LED inside the housing and are run by solar rechargeable batteries. I purchased about 16 of these units and out of the 16 only had one go bad one me.4/5 Overall and I've attached photos for comparison, looks, and visuals.

Good Outdoor Solar Post Light Buy for $10
For $10 bucks, it's plastic. It looks classy and it's a very nice design for the finishing of a 4x4" columned-wooden-post. You should have no issues installing. I recommend having a set of four spare screws to mount the plastic base plate it comes with. It does come with 4 black finish screws to mount the light. Be sure to set the crown of the light towards the sun so you get the max light during the evening! Overall, good buy for around $10!

Returning these - very dim - would say about 1.5 lumens when installed above 5 feet.
I should have paid attention to the reviews/star ratings. These lights are no where near 5 lumens output. I suspect that the 5 lumens rating is based on the reflection from the large silver domed plate at the base of the lantern - not the output of the light itself. It would be ok if you were using it as a path light because the reflected light would be closer to the ground and concentrated I guess. I wanted these for the top of a post at head height so the silver dome reflected the light kind of diffuses into nothing. I did leave them out several days in full light to see if they would get stronger but it didn't help much. It seems like a solid, well made item if you just want accent light or a pathway light. The second issue that I had was the screw holes/base of the lantern - there was an insert that made it fit perfectly on the 4x4 pressure treated post, but the depth of the base is then reduced so that the holes were not very far down on the post - had to angle the screws in so they weren't flush.

... pair of these flanking my steps and there are beautiful in the evening for Ambiance
I installed a pair of these flanking my steps and there are beautiful in the evening for Ambiance. They don't give out a tremendous amount of light but they do add a great amount of character. One Design idea that I had it was I use some stain glass paint and stain a few of the squares and some complimentary colors to match my Spanish style condo and it really brings a lot more design and a lot higher in a look to this product. I have had them for a few months and they have never filled out to work perfectly. A great price point great look for them

Check your vinyl post is truly square
This was one of the few solar powered post cap lights that was supposed to fit a 4 x 4 inch vinyl post. It did not. Perhaps this happened because my vinyl post is older and has rounded corners.I had thought about taking a rasp to remove some of the thickness of the post, but that did not make any sense to me.Also, I was surprised by the four different designs on each side, although if I have pushed more buttons on the Amazon page I may have seen them.Unfortunately, I have to return it.

Moonray Accents Lights
I did not want a bright light so that these are perfect. They are lovely accent lights for my rooftop deck. They give just the right amount of light.

Looks nice.
Not very sturdy and not as bright as I hoped but it does the job.

They do look very nice though.
Don't put off much light and the battery seems to wear out after only a couple hours even after charging fully on a sunny day. They do look very nice though.

Nice classic look!
I love the Moonrays, but there are 2 out of the 4 I ordered that don't always work. I have to go out and tap on the post for them to go on. A bit of a disappointment. They although do look fabulous...they just don't work that well.

Nice lights!
I have bought six of these, they work well and are nice to look at. Not a lot of light given off them but enough to look nice. On overcast days they don't charge at all.
