Although a very sturdy and well constructed bucket, I guess it would be the weight of your chain. Unfortunately there was no capacity listed on product information. We use them for water in our facility yards, so there is no concern there! Thank you.

What is the exact thickness of the sheet metal?

I’m not sure of the *exact* thickness, but we use it as a water bucket for our Mastiff. It get banged around a lot and it doesn’t dent or warp when it’s full of water. It’s a pretty substantial thickness that keeps it looking as new as the day we received it.

What grade is the stainless?

Stainless steel buckets to that are seem less are normally made of 18-8-304 stainless steel
