Spigen Thin Fit Designed for Samsung Galaxy S8 Case (2017) - Black

UPDATE, 1.6.2021: knocking a star off this review because the corner of the case cracked after only 7 months. And now the product isn't even available anymore and it's hard to find any other QNMP covers. Did Spigen abandon QNMP?I'm giving this case 5 stars even though it has one minor flaw I just can't overlook: the speaker/charger/audio jack cutouts have sharp edges that cause discomfort to my fingers when I'm supporting my phone from the bottom. They need to be rounded or beveled. I'm actually considering finding some super-fine sandpaper and doing it myself.Otherwise this is just about the perfect phone case. I was ecstatic to find a case with a built-in compartment for a magnetic disk mount. Even the thinnest disks "stick out" on other cases no matter which side of the case you put it on. That becomes a problem when using a phone on a flat surface. Having an integrated pocket for the disk so my case remains even and level on the back is SUCH an improvement.The case is super-thin, easily rivaling the thinnest soft-back case I have. It's hard-back, but is flexible and easy to get on and off. It fits extremely well. It's not slick--in fact it has more friction than most of my soft-back cases. It doesn't slip out of my hand or slide around excessively on flat surfaces.I thought I'd hate the cutouts for the side buttons, but turns out I prefer it to having them covered. It makes them much easier to use, even through a pocket, and the case's sturdiness is not adversely affected.The bottom cutouts and camera/fingerprint cutouts are well-designed (other than the sharp edges at bottom) and don't interfere with use. The audio jack cutout in particular is rectangular to accommodate L-shaped jacks.I do wish they offered a soft-side version to try out. (Maybe they do, but Amazon makes it really hard to find.)

I bought the Spigen thin fit for my wife's LG G6 and really liked it on her phone, so I got one for my S8 as well. Her's I got in black, and mine I got in the gray color. I didn't realize until after it showed up that the black is the only color that is non-slip. The gray (and presumably the other colors) are VERY slippery. If I set it on my lap, it wants to slide right off my jeans and tends to slip out of my hand more easily than I would like.This is actually in the description, it says the black is non slip, but I really wish Spigen would make it clearer by putting them in separate listings, or bold type, or something. Nice feel, not too bulky, seems reasonably protective and looks really good. I was hesitant to get it as it didn't have separate cut outs for the camera and fingerprint reader, but the lip that they put on the case around that whole area makes it much easier to find the reader and not accidentally put your finger on the camera lens.

Perfect slim case.If you are like me and enjoy a quality case that does not increase the phone size to VHS cassette(very big, for you millennials), this is the case for you. The added bulk is as minimal as you can get while still providing a degree of shock protections to the corners and back. Even with the case it feels smaller than my non-cased Galaxy Note 4.Also, it adds just enough grippieness that makes it much harder to drop, yet there is no fear of turning your pocket inside out to get it.It is a nice matte black and looks good on the phone and does not draw attentionThe top lip is just a mm or so higher than the screen, so if laying the phone face down it will not be resting on the screen.The buttons are left exposed and not under "case buttons"The slots on top and bottom ensure the phone is removable without much hassle, but still secure in the case and it will not fall out.This case for me is perfect. I have not drop tested it, but i am sure it can take head level drops on the corners without anything breaking.Another nice touch on the inside of the back of the case is a slightly depressed area for a steel plate to be stuck in so it will stick to your magnetic car mount. The one i am using is not the same one sold by the maker of this case, yet it still fit without issue.

Let me start off by saying I HATE phone cases, but I needed something until my phone rear skin arrives in a few weeks. My friends have used Spigen in the past and loved them. Needless to say, this case feels great in the hand and is SUPER slim while still offering protection, unlike cases I tried in stores or bought, hated and returned because they were just too bulky and took away from the beauty of the phone. This case has a nice matte finish, snaps on and off easy but not loose by any means. I haven't tried yet but will edit my review after putting the back skin and full front screen protector on it, it looks like it might work but could be cutting it a little close since the case snaps on right to the very edge of the phone where the glass and the bezel meet. If the case doesn't work with the screen protector I purchased it will NOT lose any stars because this case it still fantastic, looks sleek, and gives more grip than the naked phone. All in all killer price for a great product and I will definitely recommend and would purchase it again.

Nice color, but not very protective. It looks very fragile. I had to remove the magnetic tape from the back, because it was not working with the wireless charger

This case is perfect. Slim profile and decent protection, I've dropped my S8 plenty of times and not scratch on the phone. The rubberized texture is nice, however does chip away from prolonged use in some places, and is also a fingerprint magnet. Still use it everyday however.

Delivery came within 2 days which is awesome.I purchased the gold case as my previous one was clear, now my 3 month old baby doesn't have to see a black blob anymore when I capture pictures of him. The colour gold itself is beautiful as the finish is matte smooth. My phone is more grippable and doesn't slip off my hands. The case itself is thin and lightweight (something I prefer). It fits my S8 perfectly. Athough there was a small dent at the bottom of the case, it's totally fine.I will definitely purchase this phone case again and hopefully there won't be a dent but overall I am quite satisifed with my new phone case. Thank you.

fits great. simple design. not going to be super protective, but for scratch/scuff resistance and basic protection it's a very good case with a very good price. Nice and thin too.

Excellent quality, really thin, but durable and luxurious. Fits perfectly and the black colour has a lovely, premium, non-slip matte finish. (My wife ordered a different colour and it was far sloppier, so be warned on that, but the black is excellent).
