Q: I have an existing moen shower fixture set, but i don't know the type of valve i have. will this eva set connect to my preexisting valve?

Hello and thank you for your interest in the Moen T2133 Eva Posi-Temp Tub and Shower Trim Kit without Valve. Moen makes three basic types of single handle tub/shower valves. The Moen Posi-Temp rough-in is a pressure balanced cycling valve that has a handle that rotates counterclockwise to turn on the water. This valve requires Moen Posi-Temp trim if you wish to change the look. Our Moentrol valve is also a pressure balanced cycling valve that has a handle that pulls out to turn on the water. This valve is compatible with Moentrol trim kits if you wish to change the look. Our Standard valves are non-pressure balanced and have a handle that pulls out to turn on the water. With the use of the Moen Standard valve adapter, part number 145058 you can adapt the valve to accept Moentrol trim kits to change the look.

Q: Can the shower handle be turned far enough to the left to allow cold water instead of stopping at warm setting?

The Moen handle for the Moen T2133BN Eva Posi-Temp Single Handle Tub and Shower Trim Kit should be facing down at 6 o clock for off and then rotate counterclockwise through warm water back to 9 o clock for full hot water. Q: is this a slip on installation for the faucet?

It slips over the copper pipe and tightens with a set screw.

Q: What exactly is in the box? I have a PosiTemp valve already & would just like to update the look of everything (tub spout, single handle, & shower)

The tub drain cover piece is not included. Can be obtained at any plumbing supply house. Take the old one with you. There are different screw hole configurations.
