So easy to use. Presses tofu perfectly.
I love tofu but I don't eat it as often as I want because of the time and hassle of pressing tofu. My old method required two cutting boards, two dish towels and 18 cans of vegetables for weight. Then I saw an ad for the Tofuture Tofu Press on Facebook and checked it out here on Amazon. The videos were great to show how simple it was to use and how easy to clean up and the reviews were excellent. So I ordered one. It arrived very fast. Today I used it for the first time and I am impressed. It was so simple. And even though I have arthritis in my hands, I was able to latch the press down with no problems. I like that this press is compact enough to fit in the fridge while the tofu is being pressed. And I can now put my tofu in to press in the morning and have it set to go when I'm ready to cook so no more excuses for time. I also like that the bottom tray can be used for marinating and the lid fits securely so no leaks. I let my tofu press for an hour today. I was amazed at how much water came out. And it was pressed very evenly so cutting into same size pieces was easy. Even though this is dishwasher safe, the pieces clean easily in the sink so I'll probably hand wash. The size of this is also great for storing in the cabinet between uses. If you love tofu but don't like home-made pressing hacks, this Tofuture will be a great investment in time and hassle. Highly recommended.

Donโt know how I went without it so long!
Excellent and very efficient. Only takes a few minutes to get most of the water out. If you let it sit longer, it will make it very compact. There are 3 โlevelsโ of pressure, you can adjust as it gets smaller if needed depending on what youโre going to use it for. Super easy to clean. Doesnโt leak and makes it easy to pour the liquid off without making a mess.

A good piece of equipment
This is my first tofu press, as I have never used tofu before. This press is well made and easy to use. However, instructions it came with the Press state the tofu can be pressed for 4 hours up to overnight. I tried this, and when I went to slice the tofu it was very crumbly, and I lost a lot of the tofu due to much of it just crumbling away. I learned from other sources the 15 minutes to half an hour is pretty much standard. When following those guidelines I have excellent results. This press is well made, reasonably priced and I can recommend.

Best Tofu Press Ever!
So very happy to own this! It does an amazingly effective job so long as you have strong hands, which one needs to put the rubberband-like cords on the sides. This sturdy little press was a great price and so easy to clean with no parts to lose. It beats hand pressing in a paper towel by a mile.

Upgrade in so many ways, easily one of my most used items since getting it!
I've been using tofu regularly for over 10 years, but the biggest problem has always been remembering to press it before hand when a recipe calls for it, and in a busy household that prep time often means I just skip it. So I bought a press years ago. It looked like 2 small cutting boards and had 2 screws that let you slowly increase the pressure. It was great, but it took up a lot of space, and still didn't let the water drain well unless you balanced it on it's side. Wanted to press tofu in the fridge? It worked but too up so much space. Enter THIS "tofuture" press, and WOW. This thing is next level on tofu pressing. I used to rave about my last press because it was so much better than just sacking plates etc., but this lets me rapid fire my tofu prep. I can prep on over night, stack in my fridge neatly with all my other stuff, and then when I take one block out to use, I pop in the next and viola! I've had this for several months now, use the dishwasher every time I clean it, and have not noticed any damage to the stretch bands which was my worry. I've got 4 kids, I avoid all things hand wash that I can. I do top rack wash the lid with the stretch band, but the rest goes where ever it fits. I've honestly been considering buying a second to make bigger batches of things, It's made my tofu prep so much easier I've definitely been using/eating tofu more often because pressed tofu no longer feels like a hassle. Having it pressed and ready to go, is such a game changer. I would not hesitate to recommend this press. I loved it so much and made my self wait to see how it held up before just blasting an instant great review, but this little juggernaut has earned it's keep in my kitchen tenfold. Add to cart now!

Seems up to the task... but would really like the catch container hooks shaped easier to use UPDATED
I know -- sounds like any number of people who buy products but don't read the instructions. However, I'm a deep-tissue bodyworker -- my hands and fingers are quite adept *and* strong. Yet, need a couple of tries to attach those silicone bands on ram to hooks on the catch container, whilst keeping the ram level so it doesn't result in a crooked & still-wet result. My guess is the shape of the hooks is to blame -- getting those bands to slip around the corners, often results in full-twang failures, and another attempt ๐ This is a point in favour of those products which use a screw-type ram -- no wonky balance between sides needed, as the alignment's all handled by the lid and its reinforcements. Even with the Tofuture bands properly de-tensioned, there's far too much to pull thru with fingers, to get them on that hook shape. And then this must all be wrangled again, once the initial water's compressed out, if drier tofu's desired -- which I do. After using this a few days with some amt of struggle, figured nah just get used to it, and persisted a few days more. Nope, still diabolical to compress my tofu in two stages. ๐ฃ Have no qualms about the quality of the parts for this product, they're excellent. However, will buy a screw-type tofu press, and see how that compares in svc. If easier and no chg in the tofu that results, will report here. But can't in good faith rate this full stars. Four stars, with another to come off if a screw-ram type proves easier to use day-to-day โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ _ --- UPDATE 19 JUL 26: Bought the NOYA to compare both -- and rather than remove, will add another star for the Tofuture, there's no comparison if you really need all the water out of xtra firm tofu. Plus the NOYA feels less premium, tbh -- rather fragile for high-pressures needed for xtra firm. Five stars, good design speaks for itself โญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธโญ๏ธ

Paneer at last!
I don't use tofu but I do make paneer. Actually I'd given up making paneer because, while the making bit was fine, I could never get the resulting paneer sufficiently firm to hold together during the cooking process. However I decided to try again because there are a lot of delicious dishes which call for paneer, and I simply can't get hold of it locally. After yet another failure where I had to watch my precious paneer fall to bits instead of toast beautifully in the pan with the coconut and ghee, I decided to see if there was any kind of a press which would solve the problem. As I don't use tofu, I'd never heard of a tofu press, so I was delighted and excited to come across this one - particularly as the only other one I'd come across would have made a mess of ยฃ100(!). I saw that some reviewers had encountered problems with the press or the bands breaking, but as the supplier had obviously dealt with these problems swiftly, courteously and usefully, I decided to go ahead and order. I'm extremely glad I did. My first batch of paneer turned out (literally) beautifully. I was amused to see it was imprinted with 'Tofuture' and the leaf and line logo, but this hardly matters when, for the first time ever, there is a block of paneer which can be used in any dish required! I'm now making paneer every week. Two litres of milk makes just the right amount of paneer to fit into the Tofuture tofu press. The block with which you end up is bigger than the pre-packed blocks you buy from the supermarket or grocer's (just supposing your local shops actually sell the stuff...), and really it's the perfect size. Once you've made the paneer, put it into the tofu press and put the press into the fridge, you can just leave it until you need the paneer. Any excess whey gathers in the base of the tofu press and doesn't touch the cheese, so you can use either the paneer or the whey when you wish. It's absolutely fuss-free - and you can even sit other fridge items in the well of the tofu press lid. Homemade paneer is as different from the shop-bought variety as chalk is from, er, cheese. It doesn't take huge amounts of time, the satisfaction is immense, and it's got to be healthier because you can choose decent, fresh milk from properly reared cows. Plus, of course, you can actually have paneer when you want it rather than when you can sweet talk a friend who happens to be going somewhere where they sell paneer. No, the Tofuture tofu press isn't cheap (although it's one heck of a lot cheaper than its rival...), but it's definitely worth the price in convenience and no more wasted effort and milk! 29 October 2017 - I've just bought a second Tofuture press, and there can hardly be a better endorsement than that (particularly as I'm not exactly a spendthrift; even good friends call me parsimonious at the best of times...). The reason for this second purchase is that, since buying the Tofuture press over a year ago, I've found more recipes for paneer and they've all worked out excellently well. So now I can easily use two lots of paneer in a week - and it's just easier to have two presses, given that you can keep paneer in the press in the fridge until you need to use the paneer in a dish. Before buying, I checked that there wasn't another press available which was superior (OK, and cheaper...), but it seems there isn't - and also I've discovered that people are marinating their tofu and/or paneer in the base of the Tofuture press. I'm definitely going to try this and, given that the press is BPA-free, there won't be a problem and it will be simplicity itself. A double recommend.

Good tofu press, easy to use
Works as advertised. Easy to use, and marinating in the box with watertight/leak proof lid is an added bonus. Comes with two extra elastic bands, not sure yet how to replace them or when it will be necessary. Have used the tofu press about ten times now.

Very useful
It really works. The only thing I don't like, is its colour.

I LOVE this tofu press
This tofu press has changed the tofu game for me 100%. I use it almost every day and have used it for things other than tofu too. If you fill it to the top with grated carrots/zucchini/sauerkraut etc. itโll juice it. So much more convenient than getting a cheesecloth out and squeezing out the liquid. The rubber bands are tricky but you get used to it with a couple tries.
