Carson Dellosa Education Reading Comprehension, Grade 2 (Home Workbooks)

Bought it for Rs. 60/- only. It is the best you can find in market for 5+ age group. Keeps my son engaged, is improving his reading and comprehension slowly but steadily. Absolutely worth it. Suitable for Sr KG & above. My son knew how to read small words!

I ordered a set of these books for my kindergartener, who's way above the level of his class. I was so tired of his bringing home simplistic stuff about the alphabet. After consulting with another teacher who recommended these workbooks, I ordered one for reading and one for math. My son used to take 2 hrs to do his kindergarten homework because it was so easy he *hated* it. Now he looks forward to doing his workbooks, and he'll complete 1 or 2 lessons from this second grade book in about 20 min or less. Although some exercises are too simple yet, the book clearly advances in difficulty. So the easier beginning is building his confidence, and he's looking forward to moving ahead.If you're looking for materials to supplement your child's learning, these are great. I made arrangements with my son's teacher that he'll simply do these workbooks instead of the class homework, and he'll turn them in to show her every 2 weeks.

It is not challenging enough for 2nd graders. I have the Kindergarten version & the stories/questions at the end are more challenging than the beginning of the 2 version!!
