This product worked perfectly for my LEDs
I have 6 kitchen flood lights which I had replaced with LED bulbs. I found that the Lutron TGCL-153P-WH-3 will work perfectly IF you read the directions first and follow them. I did not. I simply removed the old switch and reconnected the wires to the same exact spots on the new switch as where they had been connected on my old switch. And that did not work out too well. So then I read the directions. Turns out that my old switch only had 3 locations to connect the wires but the new Lutron had 4 locations. So reconnecting the wires to the same locations as they were on my old switch was incorrect. The Lutron switch required that the "hot" current wire be connected on the opposite side of the switch as described in the directions. So, once I removed the hot wire from where I had initially connected it, and then when I connected it to the location described in the directions, then the switch and lights worked perfectly! The lights are able to be dimmed gradually all the way down to very low. (The brand of LED bulbs is Kichler from Lowes and they replaced my 65W bulbs)

Great idea, but has a temperamental dimmer.
These dimmers are a bit temperamental, as my family is learning. I originally installed them to help reduce light in certain parts of the home to help our baby sleep. Because sometimes even bright hallway lights leak through a closed doorframe that might wake the baby. So less light at times is good, hence a dimmer. That being said, this is my third dimmer unit from Lutron and two of the three malfunction around the dimmer’s 100% area. When turning on a light while the dimmer is at full brightness/100%, the bulbs (both incandescent and qualifying LED) shine at approximately 15-20% brightness. From there, dropping the dimmer to about 90% then back to 100% fixes the issue for the lighting session. But as soon as you toggle the switch to off then back on, back to 20%. Very strange.I’ll probably try another brand next time.

7 months, then done
Worked fine for seven months, then occasionally failed to work, then stopped working altogether. The switch should last longer than the bulbs, right??? Usually, Lutron makes a fine product. Trying Eaton next.UPDATE: I contacted Lutron and they are sending two new switches. That's at least worth a one star upgrade.Note that I have flickering at some mid-settings with Duracell LEDs - I replaced one of 5 bulbs with a regular incandescent and the flickering stopped, so maybe the bulbs are equally at fault?

Controls fit through standard switchplate (switch) opening, but note ...
Controls fit through standard switchplate (switch) opening, but note the volume of the electronics behind the cover is wider than a regular on/off switch. One will fit into a standard switch box, but if you have a double switchplate and want to use two of these you may find it is hard to get the two switches to fit through the openings.

LED light dimmer -Iffy at best
Pros: The 'slider' does not move to full on like some others when the light is turned off.Works with 3 way switches.CONS: Finding -if- your LED bulbs are "compatible" with this is a chore. Even if it "works" it is far from perfect.Example: I tried it with equivalent 40 watt bulbs. The 'dimming' is very limited before they start flickering off, so they go from 480 lumen to 380? lumen. Not a lot of sense in using it if it has such a limited range.Something else I noticed, it doesn't 'appear' that the LED lights are quite as bright (when at full brightness) as when the standard ON/OFF switch was used, although I have no way of verifying such.My opinion - buy at you own risk if you intend to use this with LED lighting.

Better dimming range than others, no flicker or buzz; does not come on set below ~80%
This dimmer works much better than the one it replaced. I gave this 4 stars because it does not turn on the 8 -100W equivalent Feit LED lights when the dimmer is set at about 80% or lower. The lights are within the load capacity. This dimmer was rated "The best of the best" in a review, but if holding the dimming setting and switching on from that setting is important to you, this one may not be the best choice. So long as you are ok with turning it almost all the way up to full bright to turn it on, then dimming to the desired setting, this dimmer will work well.

Bad design; difficult to install SAFELY
This unit lacks the backwire *screw-in* option found on more profession units. It only has two options for install: *push-in* backwire (generally considered unsafe/unreliable method as it weakens over time) or terminal screws. Normally screws are safe, albeit a pain in the butt, however these are virtually impossible to do well. The terminals are inset into the body in such a way that it's impossible to fit a loop of wire in and snug it around the screw. So you can either do a straight wire which would not be secure, or if you spend 15 minutes cussing while you try to force a halfway decent loop in there it gets a little more secure, but it's definitely not a tight loop and not as strong as would be ideal. Compare this to Eaton's version which has backwire screw in terminals - a breeze to install securely. Simply strip a straight section of wire, insert, tighten. It's even usually cheaper (https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B096N67KWG/ref=cm_sw_em_r_mt_dp_3GZ9Z6DSDYFJTYDFPGG6)On the upside, the Lutron unit dims very smoothly and looks nice, thus the reason for 2 stars instead of 1. But not worth the extreme difficulty of installation and poor safety/longevity. I've also had a couple units fail on me over time and need replacement, which is extra annoying given how hard they are to install well!

Does not totally dim LEDs
Like other LED dimmers I have, this one doesn't dim down anywhere close to 100%. The 35 year old incandescent dimmer it replaces goes much lower, but the flicker is hard to get rid of. It's a dimming level I might live with, being a Warehouse Deal, but at normal cost it's overpriced for the performance. There is some noise from the power supplies in the 8 bulbs in the fixture, but that may be due to their inexpensive construction.

Worked great with no adjustments required on dimming range
Works great out of the box. Needed no adjustment of dimming range for a wide range of dimmer capability on the 2 GU10 LED light fixtures that I installed. Both fixtures had 3 LED GU10/50w equivalent dimmable bulbs.

Well designed
So nice to have a toggle switch and separate slider for dimmer. Wiring was straight forward

They work well with my bulbs.
I have installed 2 out of the 3 switches, one as a single pole and the other as a 3 way. They work well with my LED bulbs which are listed as compatible.
