Decent product for vegetarians and vegans. My wife is a vegan, so I by default am sort of a vegetarian, sometimes vegan ;D. I have come to find that if you don't expect a product like this to taste exactly like what it is replacing, and accept the experience, it will likely be a pleasant experience. That was the mindset going to tasting this on a salad. So, I was not disappointed, as it ahs a smoky flavor, and a nice crunchy texture; but it does not taste like real bacon.Pros:1. Available - sometimes vegan/vegetarian products are hard to come by.2. Price is right.3. Nice texture4. Nice smoky flavor but not overpoweringCons:1 It does not taste exactly like bacon2. I wish it came in a larger size - we use it on salads, baked potatoes and all sorts of things.

For some reason this product disappeared from my local grocery store's shelves this past year for a few months, so I had to order it online. For me, one small bottle lasts at least 6 months, but it sure is nice to have for vegetables like spinach and green beans. Adds a nice flavor and texture. It's not exactly like bacon, but it's a close enough approximation for a vegan to make it worth buying. I enjoy it a great deal, and recommend it.

I bought these to help support the need for crunch in salad for a very low calorie diet I was doing. Really bad idea. On these diets your taste buds become very sensitive to poisons toxins and allergens. Well I normally trust Frontier brand and really was not expecting these to be small chunks of poisonous TVP.... Bitter and certainly not flavorful!!!According to Leaf TVs article on artificial smoke flavors: Liquid smoke usually has nitrates, BHA, msg, and causes a "bitter aftertaste"...."limit to 1-2 times a month"!Also, there is nothing organic about Carmel color.... Do some research... Vegan bacon flavor is not your friend. It is not healthier than real unprocessed bacon. And certainly a terrible replacement health wise for the real thing! Do your own research!!! If you have allergies or sensitivities then absolutely do not touch these!!

It’s really just a smoky flavor. It was ok, I will finish up what I have but I won’t purchase again

I ordered these from Amazon when my local organic market stopped carrying them. They are amazing and I cannot even imagine my salad without them. They are too pricey, though. Perhaps as more people discover them the price will come down.

Pretty good tasting and I use them in several ways, almost daily. I bought the six pack and it is nice to not have to reorder for awhile.

Xlnt, a wee bit salty but, when wanting bacon flavor & no bacon this has great bacon flavor w/o the fat.
