Reliable
I recently purchased this safe because at the time I was about to start college. I've had it for a while now and it works perfectly, I've had no issues with it and i love the quick access. It works great with my laptop and can fit all of my valuables.

Perfect Security
This product was way to big to fit in a drawer. Nice design and plenty of room but it will not fit in most average size drawers. The Stack-On PDS-500 Drawer Safe with Electronic Lock is a much smaller safe that will actually fit comfortably inside a dresser drawer and comfortably fit any large pistol with room to spare. Excellent Cheap Safe
First of all, this is by no means Fort Knox quality. If you know and assume that, than this is a great safe, and I am happy with the purchase.Pros:CheapHeavyStrong steel2 ways to enter (key and keypad)Keypad stores two different keysQuite largeInterior lightIncludes interior shelfCons:Only a theft deterentKeypad makes noise, but speaker is easily removedOk, so to the point. It is no more or no less than a cheap safe which is only adequate for casual or opportunistic theft. I don't see too many difficulties prying it from any surface if it is screwed to the wall, and with a circular saw, I would probably take less than 15 minutes to get in. It is not a difficult safe to break into at all. That said, you shouldn't be expecting it to be. It's not fire nor waterproof, but you should be able to fit up to a 15.6 or 17 inch laptop in there (which means the safe itself will probably not fit in any drawer). But for storing documents as an alternative to in a drawer, it's perfect. It's also great for guns, even more so if you deactivate the speaker (which I will explain below). And while it has an interior LED light in a nice, bright white that you will most likely never use, be careful to not leave it on as it will drain the batteries.Regarding the hinges, one rant of mine is about safe makers that claim "concealed hinges". This is of that type. Please do not take that as added security. In any decent safe, the hinges do not keep the door closed, they only serve to move the door. On a closed vault, if you cut the hinges off, the only thing that will happen is that the door will fall off once you open the door, but only then. The bolt is what keeps the safe closed, not the hinges. In any case, on this safe in particular this would be expected. It's only a little note in case you want to buy anything else. And finally, how to disable the speaker:In case you want to disable the speaker, it can be done so as follows (but will most likely void the warranty if they find out, but with a drop of glue any change is fixed.1. Open the safe2. Remove the top and bottom philips screw from the cover on the back of the door.3. To work more comfortably, disconnect the cable which runs to the batteries attached to the cover by pulling gently (you'll understand when you try).4. In the upper left corner of the door, on a circuit board there is a small black cylinder with a hole on the top. This is the speaker. If you look at if from the side you'll see that it is glued together at the middle. Pull at the top with some pliers and the top of the speaker will pop off easily.5. Done! The speaker is disconnected. Simply glue back on if you need it again. I stuck it to the inside of the back cover so I wouldn't lose it with some double sided tape.Well, thanks for reading and I hope it's been helpful.

Crappy - but may do the job
The handle is crap and the whole thing seems poorly made. I think it will work for now, but once I have more valuables this will be dumped in the trash.

One big flaw
I bought this to transport my camera gear. It is just high enough to accept my Nikon SLR. It is well made, works well but has one BIG flaw. There is a light in the back of the mechanism. It cannot be seen. The light is not bright enough to be seen in daylight. There is a switch on the side of the mechanism. The switch is not marked and can easily be moved by accident. If the light is left on, the batteries go dead in about two days, and you need the key to get in. I have taped the switch off with Gorilla tape. The unit I received had the switch half-way on. With the switch disabled this unit is 5 star; with the switch operational it is 1 star.

Great Safe Box and Customer Service
Product as stated. Good Safe Box. Not very thick metal but serves it's purpose as advertised. I'm using it to keep a handgun away from my child and I have confidence it will do that while giving me fast access to it. Also, the interior light was not functioning so I filed an exchange order and received the replacement the NEXT DAY!!!! I was also given good instructions to print my free return label. I'm very happy with this safe and the customer service and would recommend this product especially at the price. ps...this is NOT a water/fire proof safe so know that going in.

Garbage Electronics!
This safe is junk. I tried to replace the batteries and I couldn't get them in the 4AA plastic battery holder. I work in the electronics industry, and I've never seen such poor electronic design and workmanship. They used the cheapest battery holder you can find, and it is assembled very poorly. Heatshrink on the wires, but not shrunk, multiple strands of the very thin wires were cut when stripping the insulation, giving you hardly any current carrying capacity. I will probably rebuild the electronics portion of the safe as there are many issues. The metal and mechanical parts seem fine, but I haven't looked at them very closely yet. This is what happens when you have a mechanical-based company try their hand at anything electronic.

A Strong First Alert Safe!
I bought a similar safe to this one years ago. It deserves 5 stars, except this one seems a little larger. I cannot slide it too far up under the bed and my last one was able to fit in a 2-drawer letter file cabinet. Maybe this one could fit in a legal size drawer, which gives you double protection. Even though I did not use it, this one also comes with a metal shelf if you used it vertically. The problem is this safe did not have pieces of metal attached to the sides to lay it on. Also, it comes with screws to attach to a wall, etc. Someone said it is not safe enough, but it is better than having your jewelry, watches, etc. sitting out in your bedroom or drawer so a relative, friend, or stranger can come in and borrow or steal from you! Better to be safe than sorry!!! Also, the hinges and deadbolts are hidden, so you cannot easily open it up if you try doing it at someone's home. The 2 keys were a great idea if you forget combination or batteries go dead. I never had a problem with my last one. If you have a secret hiding place in your home, this would be great to have. And like I said, you can probably buy it in the smaller size somewhere else. It is a great buy for the price!

Muy robusto
Para el precio es muy buena opción, tiene muy buen espacio, la tecnología se siente un poco anticuada y básica por lo que le doy 4 estrellas en lugar de 5.
