KJV - Burgundy Genuine Leather - Regular Size - Thompson Chain Reference Bible (015063)

I can't say enough about how unbiased this bible is to study the word! My only regret is that the same company pumps out false teaching new versions that are not God's inspired words. Speaking on behalf of the KJV, it is the final authority in all things,...in fact, God said Himself that His word is above His own name in psalms, and heaven and earth shall pass away but His word shall never pass away!

Quick first impression review/ compare with my lcbp 120 red letter:Shiny black and gold with cleanly cut pages, no damage to leather or any product defects etc,Binding is ok, glued on the inner covers where the leather folds over and meets the page,as opposed to sewn through like on the lcbp bible.Leather is very stiff, but clean grain and no splitting. Lcbp leather is ridiculously soft and flexible, however I expect this one to loosen up with a bit of use.No spine ridges or reinforcing page like on the lcbp bible.Bible is great, glad to see christs words in revelation in red, as well as making it easier to acquire the verse I'm looking for,tremendous amount of information, extremely helpful to someone starting out with little idea, all very well layed out andeasy to understand, as it should be. Lcbp bible didnt have christs words in revelation in red.Love side column references, I much prefer it to centre column, havent seen many, except for the 1611 copies, but many of the references in my hendrickson 1611 are simply mistakes. Or way beyond what I can perceive haha.All in all great bible, binding a bit lacking, it will last but nowhere near as strong as lcbp binding, and much more expensive.Price for price and quality lcbp wins, but the information and reference material is much better wth the thompson.Would recommend it, with the above admonition.

The thumb index is not at all in the way for a person who is adept at handling the Bible. Yet it is convenient, especially the two indexes at the end. The indexes and concordance are good for finding almost any scripture. The Scriptures for many topics are completely written out both verse and reference, but there are many that only the references are written. The genuine leather binding seems durable and the paper as well. The chain reference system, I think, helps one follow topics as they are mentioned through the Bible.

Very substantial copy of the Scripture for our son, for years to come.

I've had a few over the years and still prefer the Thompson bible. The quality of the actual leather is worththe added cost.

I love this bible far more than I thought I would. There is just something so special about it. The chain reference system is a brilliant way of absorbing yourself in the word, and the pictures and supplements are really interesting. It is not a study bible in the sense of having footnotes, but you find a topic in the margin and follow the chain of reference which I have found really interesting. I really don't think I could ever be without one now. The bible is also really good quality and the leather very nice. You would not be disappointed if you brought one of these if you love God's word and wish to be absorbed by it. I don't know why, but I feel that this bible lends itself particularly well to the KJV version, but that may be just personal preference.
