Negotiating and Drafting Contract Boilerplate

Very good layout and compilation of critical contract topics; very easy to read and understand, too. I purchased a bunch of different contract books (for lawyers and non-lawyers), and this is my favorite. I especially appreciated the CD attached to the back of this book -- with boilerplate language that can be used or customized for your own agreements.

I have been drafting contracts for more than twenty years, and this is as good a guide as i have ever seen. Very practical, very helpful.

Fantastic examples and explanations. Wish Stark and company would put out an update and an electronic version. It would be wonderful to be able to cut and paste from the book.

If you are involved in drafting "boilerplate" contract terms such as Confidentiality, Force Majeure, Indemnities, and Third Party Beneficiaries then this book will defintely ehance your understanding of the nuances of these important, but often underappreciated, provisions.For a more general book on contract drafting, I recommend  Manual of Style for Contract Drafting, Second Edition

I purchased this item just to familiarize myself with basic contract terms and the reasoning behind the "boilerplate" that I see and use everyday in my practice. Glad to say it has already paid for itself and I highly recommed this purchase. Obviously no book will tell you how to advise your clients but its another CLE tool any contract attorney can put to use. And for us younger attorneys ...its in english not legalese
