Best Lights for Salt Water -- (I have tried many others)
This light has great design features and looks green and bright in the water:1. It simply plugs in and has an in-line circuit breaker. There is no other equipment needed.2. The light is sealed and when "thrown" into the water, it floats down and lands upright on the bottom. Other lights have a height adjustment and "float" above the bottom which causes problems when people fish the lights at night and get hung up on the light.3. All the materials look and feel very solid and very well constructed. If you want the lights on a timer, you have to buy that separately. I elected to leave mine "on" 24x7 to prevent any barnacles from growing on them. On the Texas Gulf Coast, these barnacles are a real problem and will ruin lights in only a matter of days if the heat from the bulb is not present to burn them off.So, this light is built well, deploys literally in a minute or two and work very well in about 8' of water. The fish go crazy in it at night and it is better than watching TV!!!!!!I have had mine for a couple of months and have zero issues with it.

I now have two of these bad boys off my dock in Indian River Lagoon in FL and the night fishing has been fantastic. Light is extremely bright and has attracted has attracted lots of snook, redfish, tarpon, sea trout etc. I do have to take the light out of water and clean off the barnacles about every 2 months. You can notice light slowly getting dimmer over time as Barnacles and algae build up. The good news is that process is fairly simple, just pull cord to retrieve light, scrape off with spackle knife and toss back in water. I run for six hours a night, company recommends 8 hours to reduce growth(supposed to burn off). Overall very satisfied. worked much better then my original lights that shined from above water.

Lasted 10 months.
I love it but will try another brand. $475 for 10 months is pretty steep. The last one lasted two years.
