SURAIELEC 24-Hour Cycle Mechanical Pool Timer, 40Amp 2HP, 120/240/277VAC

Been using this timer for several seasons and has worked flawlessly! I love the options for always ON, always OFF, or set to timer. Easy to wire up and to program! Great value and wonderful product!

I used this to control lights and a heater in my chicken coop. Fairly easy to install. Program it and walk away. Loses time when power is lost and picks back up again when power is restored.

Timer works OK but could use some improvement. The terminals don't hold wire well. Connections to solid #10 or #12 AWG wire fall out easily if they are moved in the process of getting the wiring into the box before putting on the plastic barrier. I'm assuming they are designed for stranded wire. The markings on the disk to set the time are very small and don't seem to be logically placed. A very small black arrow shows where to read the time of day and it is located at about the 2 o'clock position on the face. The indicator lights are a plus as it is easy to see if power is available and if the load is energized. It doesn't have a override switch to allow the load to be turned ON without moving the time setting wheel. (This would be a great addition to the design.)

Really like this timer, easy install if you have a little electrical experience. I have it connected to a hot water recirculating pump on my hot water heater. The pump actually has a timer, but it's in the attic with the HWH. I wanted to be able to control it from inside the garage which is where I put this timer, now I don't have to climb up into the attic to make any adjustments for when I want the pump to come on and off. I like the transparent door so you can see when the timer is sending power or not at a glance. So far keeping accurate time and working as I set it. I would recommend it, great item for a very reasonable price.

This Timer's clock and relays worked fine. The problem with this timer is the small 3-Position Selector Switch (OFF-TIMER-ON). The switch failed in the OFF position making the timer useless; it only lasted 8 months (PURCHASED 11/24/24). DO NOT BUY.

Perfect fit to replace a very old Intermatic timer for a pool sweep pump. I've replaced the motor and guts several times in the past 25 years, but the case was getting bad too. Knockouts in the Suraielec are in the same place as the old timer, so it was easy to swap out. And I can do 15 minutes segments which was not possible with the old timer. Very pleased.

Switch works great with my water heater. It’s heavy duty look and feel gives me more confidence than the normal household timer switch

The mechanical timer is mounted in a sturdy plastic box and I liked that the timer module can be removed easily -- made wiring easier. The switch for selecting auto, off, or on is quite small and mounted on the dial. I'm using a small screwdriver to manipulate it and the timer pins as well. Recently installed and working like a charm at the moment.

Still works, so that's a win.

Tried a lower amperage on from hardware store and they keep 'frying' - this is rated higher and seems to be working well. A little tight for wiring space, but doable
