Kikkerland Biodegradable Paper Straws, Birch

I read all of the negative reviews and still decided to purchase these - and I am so glad I did! I use these all the time when people come over and I always get compliments. I even used them in these holiday drink stocking stuffers I made this Christmas. People who are writing all of the negative reviews are criticizing these for getting soggy - they are PAPER straws, not plastic. These stay sturdier than a lot of other paper straws I have used before and they are great for parties where you are entertaining. I ALWAYS drink out of straws, but would never expect these to last all day. For daily use I choose plastic straws and reserve these for parties, fun iced coffees or when me and my husband make a few cocktails. If you are looking for cute, sturdy paper straws and understand what you can reasonably expect from paper straws, these are a great buy!

Adorable and functional birch themed straws. Used this for a winter wonderland themed holiday trunk show with mason jars for coffee and hot chocolate. The ladies thought they were a wonderful touch. Would also be great for a woodland creature baby shower or alongside other outdoorsy themed events. They hold up well for about an hour, a bit less if the temp of the drink is hot, but even so, remain functional, just not super stiff.

People love these little birch straws. And rightly so, they are SO adorable. Used them at a baby shower in mason jars for teas & lemonade. Even the guys started using them in their beers because they are so enticing. Truly look just like birch wood. Plus they biodegrade, so why not!?Great price for 144 straws - we have a ton left over and use them for other parties and get togethers and they continue to be a huge hit. They are paper, however, so start to get a little soft after about an hour! With this many in the package though, you can just grab another.

I was so excited when i finally got these, (got them in two days, so it was on time) and i opened them up and the first words out of my mouth, "OMG THEY ARE SO CUTE" which i do not disagree with in the least, however i used one straight out of the box, and i will admit that after about 30min or so of a continuous submergement in water, it got a little soggy. (little bit of a let down) BUT the design is so cute, and they feel really nice. Also them being biodegradable makes me feel like I'm doing something good, lol. So at the end of the day all i can say is.... i bought a second box :D

Great value- you get quite a few straws and they are such a cool look! Ordered some with the same design but with hearts (that were WAY too expensive) however the cost balances out when I mix them with these.

Used these to put inside a set of 3 old picture frames with a white rough timber frame. They make stunning pictures for the hall way.

I bought these for my daughter in laws Camping themed baby shower. When I host an event with a lot of disposable items, I am conscientious of the waste. We had “pond water” and tan biodegradable cups and the straws looked so cool with the display. They lasted about a half hour in liquid before getting soggy. They were super cute, and I’d buy them again for this type of event.

I ordered these to go along with a Baby It's Cold Outside themed coed baby shower, and aesthetically, they were perfect for it. I felt I received plenty for the price, however, these disintegrate fairly quickly once submerged. Just beware if you were planning to use them for someone that folks may be sipping on for any amount of time. I would say they become soggy within 8-10 minutes, so if you're expecting guests to walk around, drink in hand, for an hour... Not happening. But, for decorative purposes, they are so worth it!

sind schön stabil, leicht und sehen wirklich toll aus.haben perfekt für unsere Willkommensdrinks (bedruckte Dosen) gepasst. Die Tischdeko war ebenfalls mit Birkenholelementen bestückt war also ein perfekter Glückgriff. Die Gäste fanden sie super!

Super rendu pour mon baptême rétro champêtre, cependant le papier étant assez fin elles se décomposent assez vite sur les parties en contact avec le liquide donc il faut souvent changer de paille. Sinon j'en suis très contente

Buying can be avoided. No food grade paper used. The stiffness is also very poor

Looking to reduce your use of disposable plastic items such as straws? These paper ones work great and can be recycled or composted after use. Plus they look stylish and arrived quickly. Win-win-win

Tolle Idee, hübsches Muster!Man hofft nur, dass Klebstoff und Tinte wirklich unschädlich für den Körper sind.Lange im Glas stehen lassen kann man den Strohhalm natürlich nicht. Dazu müsste innen wieder ein Kunststoff-Mantel gemacht werden, aber das ginge wieder am Sinn vorbei. Also: trinken, abtropfen lassen, neben das Glas legen.
