Can you take the guy off?

Yes you can, and actually it doesn't come attach to his robot.

Does the pilot have a lot of articulation?

The knee does not articulate. Specifically disappointing, the pictures on the outside of the box show there being some sort of joint at the knee - it is not present on the model. Also, there is no hatch for the figure to be placed into the Titan.

The McFarlane website has a release date of March 2017. Why is it selling late April 2017 on Amazon?

I am not completely sure but I think it was either out of stock or discontinued by the manufacturer and they bringing it back. I ordered mine since November and I'm hoping to receive it on April.
