by far my favorite battery backup. i've tried a bunch of those smaller 3350mAh lipstick sized battery packs up to the goal zero sherpa pack. this is what i carry on a regular basis. it's rugged & conveniently has both my iPhone lightning cable as well as the usb micro cable attached to charge the battery as well as my Fujifilm X-E3 camera, GoPro, Yaesu VX6 ham radio, Gotenna mesh, Luminoodle camp light & Petzl 3R headlamp.charge it back up using my solar panel in the field or any USB wall plug charger.

Had to keep my phone charged in WV during the National Scout Jamboree this year. This worked wonderfully! Due to lack of service and heavy use, phone battery was sucked dry frequently. This insured I always had charge. Just wish I had known there was a version available with the lightning cord for Apple devises. Having to order that extra now.

I don’t usually write bad reviews, as I research my purchases quite extensively before buying. But I read a bunch of reviews and product description that said I could get 5-7 iPhone charges from the Venture 70, so I was excited to buy it for my camping trips. After testing it it several times, I’m rather disappointed. It takes close to 8 hours to fully charge, but then over the course of 3 days, I get only around 2.5 full charges of my iPhone X. Maybe I bought a defective one, but this is really disappointing

This charger is built for the outdoors. Super rugged with rubberized edges. So far I can get 6-7 iPhone charges from around 20%. Love the built in cables. With my 20w Anker solar panel it will recharge in a days worth of sun.

This is a great battery for weekend long hikes, leaving the solar panel at home. It has enough power to keep your smart phone, GPS sat texter, headlamp, and maybe an e-Book, fully charged all weekend long. Leaving the solar panel behind also means dropping some weight.For its size, this battery is rather heavy, considerably heftier than it's little sibling, the Venture 30. but it also has considerably more battery life, and room for two cables and two 2.1A ports means you never have to worry about which port you're plugging into.If you're big on weekend backpacking trips, but like the convenience of bringing some electronics with you, this will serve all your needs and then some.

Right up front, I love Goal Zero stuff. There have been some issues (very few), but the company has always stands firmly behind their products and I always come away feeling good. This Venture 70 is excellent and having both cables for Apple and Android devices is great. It charges devices quickly and completely and seems to hold a charge very well. I also have a Venture 30 but haven't had to use it at all since receiving the Venture 70. It's a bit bigger than my Samsung Note 4 and is hefty, but there's no doubt it's built tough. Very satisfied.

Air bags on top but not under product in box. Manufacturers package had the sound of somethingbloose inside whenever I would tilt the package. I thought to myself, it must be instructions cards moving around, but it sounded like small plastic pieces. I opened it and sure enough part of the clear plastic had broken off inside and the black plastic clip by which the product could be display in a store was also loose inside. Point is that this package has been damaged in a way that causes me to question the stability and reliability of a new, unused item. The bottom has a large split in the packing plastic. This causes me some stress as I will be relying on this power bank while in the wilderness and the damage to the plastic packing is quiet a mental distraction. I don't know how to rate this because to me, that is a very big deal. I would gladly update my rating if this situation can be remedied.
