The Tapper Twins Run for President (The Tapper Twins, 3)

I read this book, as I have all the others in the series, before giving it to my nephews.Loved it , they loved it. Their friends did too. Have no ides what book the two star reviewer read, butmy take on it was that it was funny. Really funny. Funny the way I hear kids being funny. Written in the way the the boys think.And so relevant to the news. Snarky, well yes,but so are most of kids I know and this book fits right into their style. And there is nothing mean about the book. I especially like that a girl, Claudia,is so important. Good for girls to read, perhaps even better for boys to read.Hope there are more in the series.

My 12-year-old and I were both so thrilled when this book came out and we got to hang out with the Tapper Twins again! This book is just as funny as the first two in this series (which is saying a lot!), and has been a joy to read together. Plus, it is oddly educational -- the explanations of the political landscape are great, and the dynamics of the race, while obviously exaggerated for comic effect, are actually pretty close in some ways to how things go down in real political races.

Funny. As my 8-year old son was reading the book, I heard him chuckling and then say out loud, "that is funny."All three of my children (8, 11, 13) love the Tapper Twins series. They can identify with the sibling rivalry. Rodkey is able to describe the events in ways that bring the story to life for my children, using photos, notes, text messages, emails, etc. I purchased several other copies of all three Tapper Twins books for my nieces and nephews..

My son loves this series, and this book in particular has been a great way for the two of us to talk about how elections work and the good and bad reasons that people run for office, how campaigns can get ugly, and a whole lot of other topics relevant to current events.

Geoff Rodkey is today's top kids and tweens author. My four kids and I highly recommend all his books!

I bought this book and the previous two for my 11 year old son not being sure he would enjoy them, but he really likes the stories. Another score for mom!
