Has anyone noticed seperation? It seems like there is 1/2'' of semi-soilids at the bottom of my fishoil daily. Should I shake before use?? Normal?

I also noticed this.  Emailed company and this their response:                                                                    Thank you for contacting us. The cloudy white thickened liquid is a normaloccurrence and perfectly safe to continue taking. Fish oil has 20-30different fatty acids based on what species of fish it is sourced from.There are saturated, unsaturated, fatty acids and free fatty acids that allhave their own unique melting and freezing point. One of the free fractionsof fatty acids when cold solidifies appearing cloudy white. For those whofind this bothersome they find taking the product out for 15 minutes or soat room temperature that often clears the "cloudy" appearance.

Is it true this has sunflower oil now? Does this block the body's ability to absorb the omega 3's?

Carlson’s Very Finest Fish Oil now lists sunflower oil on the label as it is the carrier oil for a new antioxidant blend that is being used to maintain the freshness of this product. 
As research has shown this blend to naturally preserve product freshness better than vitamin E alone. This antioxidant blend in total makes up 0.2% of the entire product, which equates to 1 ml of a 500 ml Very Finest Fish Oil bottle, to put it in perspective. As the antioxidant blend consists of sunflower oil, natural mixed tocopherols, and rosemary extract, only a portion of this 1 ml of antioxidant blend is sunflower oil. Fish oil naturally contains a small amount of omega 6 fatty acids and this tiny amount of sunflower oil in no way negates the benefits of the high omega 3 content of this fish oil product and does not affect the body’s ability to absorb the omega 3’s.

Is this a virgin cod oil (not heated)?

The fish oil is processed through molecular distillation. All fish oils must actually be heated at some point to ensure purity. This is done in a controlled environment without the presence of oxygen, which allows the heat used to be relatively low and therefore the omega fatty acids are not destroyed. The extraction of oil from fish body tissue is typically performed with either steam or solvents. Carlson fish oils are extracted only with steam (never with solvents) and then molecularly distilled to remove the impurities one does not want in their fish oil.  These steps will retain freshness and omega-3 fatty acid content without degrading the oil in any way.
