Replace this first before your rooftop unit!
I like how simple this is to use and install. Just match the color of wire on the thermostat to the same color wires le your old unit. I replaced a previous installed thermostat that was of the same brand that was a out year years old. But I did so after replacing the rooftop unit. My unit kept kicking on and off only after a few seconds of running. I reset the unit by removing g the fuse from Inside and replacing dagger a few minutes. Still didn't work, I just replaced the thermostat again and it works great no problems. Shuts on and off brilliantly. The price has increased 45.00 in 10 years well worth it though In the 100° temps of CA.

Great item, replaced the analog one in my 2015 ...
Great item, replaced the analog one in my 2015 Outback T/T. I was nervous about it, but super easy to install even though the wire colors (arm the camper, not the Coleman) were not an exact match. The analog and the digital wire color were exactly the same. I just changed one wire at a time and no problems. The digital thermometer is a little bigger than the analog so if you have a very tight space that you are swapping the two out, you may have an issue. I think the digital is about and 3/4" bigger overall from the analog. However, although it's bigger it si not as "tall" as the analog, so depending on the hole, you may need to get creative to cover the original hole. This is a very minor issue, and not one to keep you from buying it, but if you have a really big original hole that is taller than wider, be ready to get creative. There is no back light on display so you cannot read it in the dark without another light source (no a big deal sine the analog couldn't be read in the dark either - but if you expect a lot of bells and whistles, you'll be slightly disappointed). Mine did not come with screws but I used the screws from the analog. Overall, very happy and would do it again!

Marked as used, but looks brand new.
Purchased this as a Used-Like New item from Amazon and that is exactly what I got. The original packaging must have been 'Used' and item was 'Like New', It appears that the original packaging must have been damaged but the control was unhurt. Replaced a faulty 'analog' model (the one with a slider temp control) is an upgrade replacement and works well. Easy to replace several wires are color coded and identical with either. The setting seems to work better than the analog, it maintains a more stable temperature, cycling on and off is more responsive.

Much better than the analog thermostat
The old analog thermostat in my trailer did not show the current temperature, and it was adjusted by a slider which would cover about 10 degrees in half an inch. I was always fiddling with it, impossible to get the temperature right. This one works much better, it turns on and off within a much more appropriate range. Installation was pretty simple, the wires were the same color and the mounting holes lined up.What I don't like is the cost of this unit. For something so basic it should be about $60.

Should have replaced the analog with digital a long time ago!
Replaced our analog thermostat in our camper one wire at a time. It took about ten minutes. All went well. Our analog thermostat in our camper though it had a 'HIGH' and 'LOW' for the fan, really only had one speed. The new digital thermostat has a working HIGH and LOW.The new digital thermostat appears to be much more accurate. If I set the air conditioner to 74 degrees, it turns on at 75 and shuts off at 73. The heat works the same. Our original equipment analog thermostat, when used during the colder months, and set to 70 degrees, it would turn the furnace on when the temperature hit 62-63 degrees, leading to quite a variance of temperature, and making it very uncomfortable. It is also nice to see what the current temperature is just by glancing at the thermostat, something the analog thermostat does not allow.Very happy with this purchase, and sorry I didn't upgrade this sooner (our camper is five years old now).Make sure you have some (6?) small orange twist on electrical connectors, as in my case all of the wires were crimped to the original thermostat.

Quick & Easy Swap Out!
This was a very easy install for my OEM Coleman thermostat. Wire colors matched perfectly and all I had to do was pry the old unit from the wall as the manufacturer had stuck it on the wall using silicone. I cut and crimped each wire to ensure a solid connection. We've used it for both cooling and heating since I installed it and it has worked flawlessly! The ONLY thing I would loved to see on this unit is a backlight. However, I very highly recommend this unit as a replacement for your old OEM analog thermostat.

Best upgrade yet.
I installed this in about 5 minutes, but I did take residential electricity, and have a basic background electrical repair and car audio. take your old unit off the wall, photo the wires and draw a wiring diagram before you cut anytthing, and you shouldn't get lost. Now on the review. This is a great upgrade. The factory unit was trash, temps would swing a good 10+ degrees Fahrenheit. You'd set it to 70, and it would drop down to 60, shut off, and not come back on until about 80. Now the camper stays right were I set the dial. I camp at campgrounds with free electricity, but thsi is would be a Godsend if you're running a genny, boon-docking, or burning LP in your furnace. These should come standard on all campers.

Works Amazing
This has been a great upgrade to our travel trailer. The regulation of temps in the trailer are a huge difference to the analog version originally installed in the camper. Took about 20 minutes to install after getting the right size wire nuts for the direct wiring transfer from the old unit. Camper had compression wire nuts during production, had to cut those out of the line to make connections. Seller should include them in package.

Works great, packaging disappointing
Simple installation in our travel trailer, wire-for-wire replacement for the analog thermostat that came with the trailer. Seems more sensitive and accurate. Try and buy it when it is reduced in price. I bought it at 30 dollars more than when I first put it in my cart because I waited and then needed it quickly. Comes in Jobber packaging (a plastic bag, not a box) which meant done very minor scratching on the housing.

Direct replacement for old slider thermostat
This unit is awesome. Super easy to install (I am not a handy person). It was a wire for wire replacement from my old coleman mach slider style thermostat. Gives the interior temp of the camper just like a home thermostat and is easy to set your temperature to the exact temp (no guessing)

RV Thermostat Upgrade
I bought this to upgrade the manual Coleman thermostat that was original equipment in my 03 Infinity. It was simple to install and much cleaner looking than the smudged white original. I didn't want to put a household thermostat in, even though it's doable. This is a definite upgrade and adds the digital view of the room and set temperatures. Regrettably the LCD screen is not backlit, but there's a light switch right below the thermostat. Cheers
